Puns have to make sense. This has the word "block," but doesn't really work. You can argue that you're playing with words and giving them new meaning, but it's not a pun.

A pun (or paronomasia) is a phrase that deliberately exploits confusion between similar-sounding words for humorous or rhetorical effect.
a blockade is something that hinders the passage, progress, or accomplishment of by or as if by interposing an obstruction.
so he could have been blocked from taking a successful shower by these pixels, and the pixels acted as a blockade.
