Oh the mighty X3F boys! How I long to play with them!

Seriously guys, you're starting to sound a lot like a certain clan that starts with P and ends with S and consists of conceited skanks.

I know I sound like a jerk, but what makes playing with you guys so special? And who's been asking for it?

But thanks.

Thanks. Probably the most worthless post I've ever read.

Seriously. Turn the X3F game night into a community game night, and just show up. Don't let us take "turns" to play with you guys.

What a sad little man. Your comment is rude, stupid, and shows your lack of intelligence. Good to see you are keeping a theme.

ZING!

@ AnOffDay
Excuse the X3F writers doing something fun for their readers. If you are on the X3Flive friends list you can send cross invites to other people so that us fans can have multiple games going on at the same time. You don't have to play with X3F writers if you don't want to.

I just think there are a bout a million other better ways to do this.

Why not have each X3F blogger host his own room, and then people just sign up to play in whichever room they choose. That way everyone will most likely get to play as much as they want with fellow readers, and not have to worry about getting kicked out and then waiting 20 minutes to hopefully get back in.

A community game night should be about playing with the community. Not sitting around, waiting to play with the bloggers who are hosting it.

And I agree my comment was rude. I apologize. But it shows my lack of intelligence? No. Putting together a community game night in this fashion shows a lack of intelligence.

No worries, everyone. Let's all calm down. Zebra's just part of the X3F Defense Force. He can't help himself :)

We're open to suggestions (as I've stated further down in the comments). Also, yes, we definitely want to use the Friends of Friends feature to send cross-invites. That way everyone is always playing.

While I love X3F, I'm made my comment mainly because Anoffday is constantly shitting all over everyone's comments or ideas. He's got nothing better to do. If you take a look at his past comments, I bet you would be hard pressed to find one even remotely positive.

Instead of complaining about what these guys are trying to do, why don't you set up a community game night yourself?

While I appreciate any idea that makes anything we do here better, I just think there are better ways to begin a suggestion than calling us arrogant assholes.

We're the people asking to play with you but at the same time we'd like to play online as a staff since we rarely do.

Again, thanks for suggesting something that could end up better but don't be rude to us when we're doing something to make this great community stronger. But, maybe you were just having an off day.

See what I did there?

Zebra, you aren't exactly a ray of sunshine either. Any nice posts you make usually are just ass kissing comments to X3F bloggers. They keep a good blog, they know their stuff, but please Zebra let the obsession end there.

Make sure you have pron URLs at the ready when you inevitably get a few 12 year olds trying to get into your game. That should keep em busy.

Ooh, awesome.

The most contact I've had with you guys is some random messages with Dustin, so this should be cool. I'll definitely be on tomorrow night!

What kind of plans do we have for gametypes? Should really get something in mind so we don't waste matches doing unfun stuff. Kill the lock-on, for one. Cops and crooks moreso than others, I hope. One for all, I think. Then again, I spend most of my time just playing deathmatch or with no rules, so whatever works.

Lookin' forward to it, anyway!

Xav, I just wanted you to know that I am personally offended that you would dare organize a gaming night for the X3F community.

And how dare you rotate players so we can include as many as possible.

It's like you actually care or something.

Well said.

Let people play for 5 minutes, then kick them out, while you guys remain in the room, and invite another lucky bunch to enjoy your presence for another 5 minutes. Man, community game night rocks.

I think you guys are missing the point of a community game night. This is more like game with fame, only not really fame...no offense.

Point taken, but there's nothing keeping everyone from playing together when they aren't in the same room with our magnificence.

I'm joking, of course. We want to play with as many readers as possible. It's really more in the interest of fairness than ego. With three bloggers on board, we only have 13 remaining slots for readers. I think it's safe to say we have more than 13 who want to play.

So that would definitely be my suggestion. Using Friends of Friends, everyone can use our community tag to set up other games at the same time. We just wanted to make sure that *if* people want to play with us, they get a chance, and we get to play with as many readers as possible too.

@AnOffDay

So you'd rather they just offer the first slots to whoever could get there first then play with them all night?

Because if thats the case its a great way to alienate what the whole playing with the fans thing is supposed to be about.

I really I don't have to point that out to you.

Of all the posts to be mad about, this one is a shocker.

We're glad to be able to play with our readers who have emailed us, commented about it and requested on our Facebook group about organizing another event since the last one (which was over a month ago).

Well, if Xav would stop writing such controversial posts, maybe we could all be friends.

At least he didn't blog about Valve hating the PS3, THAT would have been much worse and totally uncalled for. ;)
