Ehehe...in the case of my DS Lite...where my L button decided it wants to crap out on me...I opted for the warranty. And I'll gain another 1 year warranty once it comes back from Nintendo.

Same happened to me... twice. I had to pay to get it replaced because I have a Japanese model (seriously, is it too much to ask for Nintendo to sell an all-blue DS in the States?)

Wow, this is way too convenient. I JUST broke my power switch a few hours ago, and have been scouring forums and modding communities on how to fix it! Perfect timing, DS Fanboys, the face of the DS gods smiles upon me!

oh the irony !
my DS is broken for about 4 weeks and ive been spamming about it in comments whenever i had the chance .
tho in israel you cant call nintendo you have to send it where you bought it and they send it to a repir lab .

I was poking around looking for some info about switching shells, and i stumbled upon this http://www.instructables.com/id/Repairing-a-Nintendo-DS-Lite guide. It has very detailed instructions for common repairs for your beloved ds lite!
