According to the skaters in the clips, five years have passed in the gameworld -- Skate's fictional city of San Vanelona -- and large corporations have spearheaded a big-time crackdown on skating. They talk of harsher punishment than mere tickets and how obstacles have been put in place near rails and other prime trick spots to discourage skaters. Still, the second clip shows a skater and his board perched defiantly atop a concrete block with a "No Skateboarding" sign affixed to it. So, skateboarding is a crime after all -- at least in Skate 2 -- and it looks like you'll be sticking it to the man (in this case, big business) a la Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure.

And the logo works just fine. Its the original skate logo and they put the 2 in just the right spot.
There will be an entire new city in the new game. They are using the story with the city cracking down on skaters so they can move the locale and have a reasoning for it.

Well accept the original logo had the word "skate" next to it.
HA!
Also, needs Euphoria.

Then again, the irony of EA making a game about corporate oppression, combined with the gameplay and visuals, might combine into something worthwhile.

Reminds me of a video game plot back from the 3rd-generation era, or something
That skater is Rob Dyrdek.

Hold your britches until we get an official "this is skate 2 game play footage" announcement. From the tone of videos it looks like we will be getting a new city to skate in and they just want to create a back story.
I can't wait for them to drop the deuce.
