We can see it now: Local news blips in commercial breaks during LOST, warning you and your family of the "invisible killer lurking in your house ... and you let him in!" But before you start throwing flour all over the house in the hopes of it sticking onto the hidden hitman, said invisible killer might be bromine and phthalates, toxic chemicals that Greenpeace recently found pervade some hardware components of the current generation of consoles.
According to their lab findings, the PlayStation 3's AV cables contained phthalates up to 21.2 percent by weight, while the housing on the cooling fan had "the highest level of bromine found in all components tested from all three consoles," 13.8 percent by weight. The Xbox 360's power cable contained phthalates up to 27.5 percent by weight. Both console's controllers were noted for having low levels of bromine.
The Nintendo Wii, while having bromine up to 12.5 percent by weight in its internal housing, was praised for having no beryllium, which can cause lung disease. Check out the Greenpeace page for more information. So we must ask, will bromine and pthalates blend?

Is this really true? Saying video game consoles cause learning disabilities and sexual inadequacies seems on par with the myths about Yellow 5...
I'm sure Green Peace has all their facts straight, but for some reason something still tells me this has "urban legend" written all over it.

I've just launched my own study into Greenpeace.
The findings? They're full of crap.
'Watch out! Toxic power cords! Poisonous plastic component housings!'
Really? Do they have NOTHING better to spend their time on?

Like said before, all greenpeace seems to do is complain about everyone. I've NEVER seen greenpeace do anything like say, donate funding to various charities or research groups TOWARDS bettering this world.
And it's the environmentalist, vegetarians and peta bastards causing pointless turmoil in the country. We're smart enough to adapt and figure out what is right and what is wrong, what's bad and good...
We haven't needed Greenpeace for the past couple milleniums, why do we need them now? The people, essentially the nation, are learning to conserve, we don't need these groups telling us the tiny little unnecessary things.
...Oh crap, I just had a wii remote as a snack... Someone call an ambulance!

Correction, I take back the vegetarian comments... Though if they were being meat eaters like the rest of us and say, killing all the fucking cows that are producing methane gas, maybe we'd have a little less greenhouse effect going on.
...Yes, I totally used a reference to a Carlos Mencia joke, bite me.

they always do stuff, they make plastic bump stickers, they send you a big nylon flag when you donate $100, they sell recycled glass shot glasses, and they pay for their airplane tickets to deliver their statements on another country, unless they got something better to do, then they do it over phone...
I still have yet to see an actual change in the enviroment unlike what they say that they have changed the world, of course, made people realize that to avoid taxes you can donate some money, something you receive with arms open, even if it come in a bag made with tiger leather...

We also put chlorine in our public drinking water, but I wouldn't want to inhale chlorine gas.

Why are you guys protecting these corporate companies, do you really think they care about you guys? The indications of toxic materials says no.
