No Mario Galaxy?... I'm also surprised Mario Party 8 made it in there.

Same reaction here...

Where's the love for Mario Galaxy? It certainly trounces those 6 games in gameplay quality.

In Japan, Wii Sports doesn't come with the system. They have to buy it separately.

Also, they have never been keen on FPS. Explains why no MP3. But apparantly that didn't do that amazing anywhere?

Wii Sports counts, but Wii Play should only count 1 in 5 sales since most people only buy it for the extra controller.

Well, did anyone expect otherwise? Really? Alright I'm a little surprised that Galaxy's not on there, but not THAT surprised. All the others are multiplayer. Maybe I would have put Galaxy over Wii Play, but stilll...

I understand that wii fit captured the non-gamers/casual gamers, and wii play is easily worth $10, But Mario Party? come on Japan, that series stopped being fun about the 3rd or 4th time i played the original.

Yeah, I remember the original Mario Party. It's amazing how little was changed with each new game in the series... I'd estimate that they will go on to make Mario Party 9 and 10, and then the games that follow might take on a different name, because people will finally get sick of the same old thing. It's the series of videogames that just WON'T DIE.

Throw in Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess and then you'll be good to go. =D

embarrassing that no graphic intensive games, games with real and lengthy stories, and none sequels are on the list. Sports and productivity software, truly a disappointment for everyone but nintendo.

How is that embarrassing? I think it's great. It shows us that a game doesn't need 20 hours of story, HD and billions of billions of polygons to be great. I like what's happening with Nintendo, because is an enormous slap on the face for some people that just don't understand that gameplay > story/graphics.

Indeed, we need good stories and good graphics, but I can live without them when the game is so fun ;)
