Oh wait, this isn't a website that encourages intelligent, thought out, contributing comments.

that's pretty damn nice. I would do this if I knew what kind of paint he used . . . and if i had time to kill.

Never got the whole buying another version because of a new colour / modding the appearance of the one you got in the first place.

I took a photo of the Gunmetal in Tokyo. I'll stick it up on flickr later and post a link. Why? Why not. I also have a photo of a WALL of coloured PSPs.

Amazingly no one looks at you strangely in Japan for taking pictures of electronics. Perfectly normal.

I also have a pic of a Softmap girl dressed in full-on manga gear, sticking her tongue out and giving me the "peace" sign. I'm keeping that one for myself though.

Buying another console you have for appearance I don't understand... Modding however isn't such a bad idea. Hell, stores still sell faceplates for the 360 and skins for the PSP.

I was never really into that, but I did paint my Dreamcast controllers separate colors though... And they look damn nice.

I think I'd rather get a normal 80gig or 60gig and stick a Metal Gear Solid sticker on it than the gunmetal PS3. I likes me my backwards-compatibility.

It's black to gray -- people REALLY care about this, huh? Not discounting THIS guy's work -- but I don't understand the furvor over the MGS4 system. I mean if it was painted with Metal Gear art/themes or something, sure ...

Well done, although if I were to put in all that effort, I would have gone with some color.

This is a good way to diminish value your PS3... To each their own I guess.

well you can just get your PS3 painted any color you want from colorware.

I already gave my gf a purple one for Christmas.
