Vamp and Raiden are getting uncomfortably close up there, but we're thankfully getting comfortably close to Metal Gear Solid 4's June 12 release. Konami isn't slowing down the hype machine, today releasing a batch of fresh shots from Solid Snake's last hurrah.
The screens are mainly of scenarios previously seen in trailers for the game, but do include what appears to be a new cutscene grab along with a somber shot of Snake standing amid headstones in a cemetery (which is actually the backdrop of the game's title screen). Not included: screen grabs of Konami's web page for limited-edition MGS4 PS3 orders sporting a "server outage" message.

I know that Hyams, I wish the opposite would have happened though. : /
What was so special about Vamp to pick him to live instead of Solidus? Solidus may have been a little old man but with that powersuit and those submachine guns and tentacles that shot bolts of energy and being related to the main protagonist and antagonist of MGS4, WHOOO!!!!!

Hey, guess who also died in his first appearence?
Liquid did, and we all know his own death didn't stop him.
Gray Fox also died, and came back to life.
Maybe Solidus will live on through a leg or something, you never know with Mr. Kojima.

Are the images available in a higher resolution, or is the 1024x576 size hinting something else?

Hyams
It was confirmed at 665p, by the same guy who did the pixel count from Haze and GTA.
But that's only the Online game. We have to wait a few more weeks until the full game is released.

1024 by 768 is not a 16/9 isomorphic resolution. Instead, it’s equivalent resolution (contains the same number of pixels) is 1182by665 - or 665p. It is thus accurate to say MGO renders natively at 665p.

Hey Fernando where did you copy and paste that from? We all know you didn't come up with that on your own ... Besides, why would a Wii-ophite like yourself be counting pixels? Have you seen how Mario Kart Wii lately? Thats one of the most hideous "next gen" games ever released even or the Wii which generally has simple and clean graphics

Actually, if you want to get that technical, though it has the same number of pixels, by the very definition of the 'p,' it is not "accurate to say that MGO renders natively at 665p." That's quite literally the equivalent of saying that because Rosie O'Donnell is the same weight as Yao Ming, she is the same height as Yao Ming. If you want to get technical, make sure you're technically right first.

I can't speak for Fernando but I just find it funny how you sony and MS people slated the Wii for its "less than HD" resolution and all that BS. Then the tables get turned and you're all trying to find excuses for it.
Frankly I don't care. I lower my resolution to up effects and quality on my PC. I just come read your fanboy comments for the massive lulz.

Because in MGS3 everyone is speaking Russian, which is conveniently translated for us. Thus the accents are removed.

Nope, it's not just you. MGS3 was really purdy back on the PS2, clear they pushed the hardware. Not so much here.
