Remember, oh ... an hour or so ago, when Square Enix announced a release date for Unfinite Indiscovery (or whatever it's called)? Spencer at Siliconera – or ol' eagle eyes, as we like to call him – spotted an interesting phrase in the accompanying press release, referring to IU as "the first in a completely new lineup of Square Enix titles for Xbox 360." Is that so?
Since it's a "new" lineup, we're pretty sure that the multiplatform Last Remnant would be included in there; however, we're quite certain that – in the ancient and often unknowable language of PR speak – a "lineup" could be as few as two titles so there may be nothing more to see here. Regardless, they did say "new lineup" so if you must speculate – and we know you must – let's save the "Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360 confirmed" diatribes for another day, hmm?

no...i only buy popular stuff....doesnt everybody?????
really though, FF is a really popular title and its a sure seller. look at all the sequels....its hard to get a really good new IP out when you are most popular for a single title.
look at R*....

Fear denies faith, i must have faith in squaresoft that they will not destroy the last bastion of exclusivity for the PS3. I dont want the quality of FF13 to be diminished by cross platform development. It must be Pure. If it must be on 360 then make it Pure. Hopefully Square will remember where there bread was buttered last gen and continue to build the PS3 Catalog.

Hopefully Square will go where the user base is. If they had as much brand loyalty as you hope they have now, they would've stayed with Nintendo after how well their games sold on the NES and SNES. Square is a company just like any other, and I'm sure if they think they could make more money with cross platform development, they'll do it. If the Japanese game market is drying up, and the American market is where the current money is, I think they'll have to start moving some of their core IP's over to the XBox 360.

....or they could, you know, make a business decision based on things like business factors, not misplaced FanBoy loyalty.
Honestly, anyone who buys a product purely because company A or B or even Z made it is an idiot.
Any company is not loyal to you, the consumer, just your money.
Management probably spend a huge amount of time behind doors laughing their collective asses off at you, FanBoys, doing all that marketing/evangelising without payment.
FanBoys = No. 1 schmucks

playstation has always been the best brand to play RPGs. this gen ain't gonna change it. FFXIII for ps3 is gonna simply pwn whatever 360's RPGs. i have mass effect for 360 but it's nothing compared to crisis core, FFXII. i cannot even imagine the graphics FFXIII will have. i simply only use my 360 to play cod4, bioshock, mass effect, (traded in my halo3) gears...and yea thats pretty much it. evrything else i play on my ps3 lik GTA4 n UT3, DMC4, uncharted etc. i only play shooters on 360. i believe that's all it's good for. action, RPGs, driving all belong to PS3. i dont play sport games so i wouldnt know

If you want to be taken seriously you should:
1) Use caps and proper punctuation.
2) Support statements with some facts and not just hyperbole. Your rant was just assumptions.
3) Never use "ain't".
The 360 has had great RPG's and many other forms of games beyond shooters. (Viva Pinata, Condemned, Mass Effect, Oblivion, Dead Rising, Forza, etc.) You are nuts if you think its only good for the FPS genre.

ohhh didn't know english teachers search on joystiq aswell. i did not say that the 360 is only good for FPS (mass effect and gears isn't an FPS genre). i just said that I only play shooters on the 360 because i believe that the Playstation brand's RPGs are the better deal. Oblivion PS3 was a port from the 360 but it IS better than the 360 version because of extra content and graphic enhancements. I would say the only decent RPG the 360 has is Mass Effect.

Seems to me that Front Mission was announced as a 360 exclusive last year or so.

yeah... i think it's actually quite likely there are other titles in the works for the 360.
infinite undiscovery and last remnant aren't actually being made by the square side of the company. and well. square made their intentions very clear when they revealed the new 'white-engine'.
as you all may already know, the new white engine is in fact a multi-platform engine, which is actually a big deal for square as it's the first engine they've created that is specifically designed with different platforms in mind. in simple terms, that means the white engine will work just as well on the 360 as it does on the PS3.
now square wouldn't of wasted time and money making the white engine multi-platform if they didn't have plans for creating games on the 360 in mind.
