The Castlevania film adaptation is stepping back into the limelight, and it's bringing a rather bizarre friend with him. Crystal Sky Pictures has signed a "$200 million theatrical slate financing deal" with Grosvenor Park to produce five films, according to Variety, with two of those being Castlevania and -- no, really! -- Pac-Man.
Originally penned by Paul W.S. "I didn't make Boogie Nights" Anderson (Resident Evil), Castlevania was put on hold during the writer's strike. The adaptation is still being co-produced by Rogue Pictures. Crystal Sky Pictures is also producing the Tekken film with Sony's Screen Gems.
If anyone's curious, here's our pitch for Pac-Man: The Film:
It's the year 2185. Human life has been all but eradicated, and sole survivors scramble to collect resources in a labyrinthine cave of unknown secrets. Using their spherical harvesting pods, each team takes a turn gathering. But something goes horribly wrong as one expedition team gets trapped and is forced to finish its mission while running away from haunting memories of the past...

Oh and about this thread umm yeah Paul Anderson is a horrible filmmaker, i mean sure i saw all the RE films but they totally butchered everything that makes the games AAA. Thanks for being a total Douch Anderson.. thanks.

Boring. Get the real Paul Thomas Anderson on board, and let him do the sequel he's been dying to shoot, with Ms. Pac-man cast as Roller Girl.
You've already got four dudes and a girl running around and trying to eat each other. The script practically writes itself.

Don't slap them. That'd put you in legal trouble and the movie would be funded with by your aggressive behavior. Instead, get even by pitching your own ridiculous script to be quickly snatched up by those Hollywood dumbasses. Like this:
"IN A WORLD where global warming has melted the icecaps, ignited volcanos and left the earthlands near inhabitable..."
(Scene shows a barren, lava-lake ridden countryside, horrible conditions)
"Humanity clings to survive... by any means necessary!"
(Fades a knight into view, holding a rather haphazardly built lance and armour; then fades to black.)
"AWWWWK!!!"
(The knight is then shown atop a giant, mutant ostrich; squawking obnoxiously loud! Then cut to black screen with the 'Indiana Jones'-ish text racing forward)
"JOUST! THE MOVIE!
...You Can't Make An Omlet without Breaking a few Eggs!"
(Cut to last scene of the knight smashing the enemy egg violently with the lance; pieces and yolk flying at the screen)

Never mind; I thought that was the REAL synopsis. Sounds pretty good if it wern't based on Pacman. Although the vehicles could always be calles P.A.Cs(Pod Accelerated Collectors) making the driver... a PACMAN!

Is that where your Dad hid his gun? He's not very smart to put something like that in between two kid's toys.

Castlevania could've been cool but they'll probably get some asshole director that will mess the whole thing up.

Clearly the best treatment would be P.A.C. (Professional Arena Combat) MAN, an 80's style action movie about an arena bloodsport set in the 24th century.

No, this movie has to happen:

They just need some good actors for Karnov and the army guy from the intro. The Rock can handle the rest himself.
