Meh...I'll take a look at the track list before I decide anything.

This looks like it might actually be better then just another game with new tracks. Hopefully they have good songs and can get some good DLC.

"it appears that World Tour will abandon the over-the-top cartoon style of previous iterations"

There's still a guy with a big ass mohawk in there...hopefully you have the ability to make your characters look like normal human beings this time around.

The character customize screen looks pretty nice. Looks like you can do some pretty heavy customization, take a look at the eye settings. Angle, size, shape, depth, position, scale, distance, color. If you can do this to the entire body, you can truly make a unique character versus Rock Bands limited customization.

The fact that the song creation screenshot looks so intimidating is a GREAT sign. That means people who know what they're doing or have the time to learn can really put together some great content.

And it's going to suck for people like me who don't know shit about music.

No, that was my point... It's going to be great especially for people like you because you'll be able to benefit from other people's work.

Ok, so what brand are the guitars? The one being played looks like a BC Rich, and there are cartoon replicas of the Les Paul, Explorer, and Stratocaster on the walls of the shop. Maybe they're just placeholders until the lawsuit gets sorted out?

Too bad I have to lay down £140 for Rock Band, so I definitely won't be able to afford this.

NOW I know why EA made it so expensive...
1. Profit
2. Pricing out customers who aren't millionaires from buying the competition.

I think I'll wait for the next iteration of RB to make my decision.

As far as I'm concerned, RB is still the most fun and full-featured game.

I mean look at the download center for chrissakes!

That's a toughy. The drum set looks totally awesome (my favorite instrument on RB) and much more realistic. I would say I'll wait on the next RockBand and see what they come out with. Mostly in spite of EA. If RB comes with a feature to include your previously DC into the new game, I'd say they got the cat in the bag.
