Valve did not port Orange Box to the PS3 in-house, instead giving it to EA UK – trust us, that's a good story to read up on.

I cant wait to play this on 360. I have the PC version and have been slowly unlocking all the achievements for the medic right now and the new maps and weapons are amazing. It isnt a major change but with these new weapons for medic it changes how you play with that class. When before you use to hang back and play support after all the unlocks you now can go out and defend yourself if worse comes to worst. You are not going to be able to take down a heavy but its nice that you can make them think twice when the offense goes right for the medic.

If you have some ground between you + the Blutsauger, you most certainly can take down a Heavy now. =D
The other thing I love about the Blutsauger is that it now renders a Pyro much less of a threat since for every few HP his flame thrower takes off of you, the Blutsauger gives you that HP back plus more. =)
I just unlocked the Kritscrieg last night and haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I doubt I'll use it much in a serious capacity because I prefer the invulnerability of the regular Medigun to the critical hits + no invuln of the Kritscrieg.
Can't wait to try out the Ubersaw though...only 8 achievements left I believe. =) Thank god for achievement farming servers, too bad I haven't found one with a mod playing at the time to kick all the griefers. =(

Valve doesn't have to do anything. They just have to continue to ponder the mystery of the performance difference in comparison to COD4 or Assassin's Creed sales before stamping their foot in the ground and declaring sales to be impossible to achieve on the PS3.
Infinity Ward, meanwhile, will draw parallels of this behavior to that of a rhinosaurus attempting to kill a 7-11.

I Loved orange Box on PS3. The technical glitches have all been worked out so I don't see why the DLC won't make it over to the PS3. Oh well, Less money for EA and Valve.

Indeed it is. I just managed to unlock my ubersaw and had a blast working through many of the achievements. Gold Rush is also the best map VALVe has realeased, in my opinion, and rivals all the customs. Overall I'm very pleased with this batch of updates and look forward to other classes in the future.

I haven't yet played TF2 on the 360 yet. Is it worth to start playing online now? Do you need to go into it a part of a group?
I like Halo 3 and COD 4's ability to just go into random matches and have some fun, does TF2 have this same sort of drop in fun mechanic?
I just get the sense that TF2 requires more thought about team make-up and strategy. I also never see it in the top 10 of live but it does look like fun.

You can certainly jump into TF2 with people. It is team oriented, but not so much so that you cannot just go in and have a good time mowing people down. Really the only team critical stretegic player is the Engineer and you will learn soon enough by others who to place stuff optimally for your team.

Take what, exactly? I'm sure the 20K people stupid enough to support a product while the lead designer is stamping his feet like a child screaming "but I don't wanna develop on PS3..." are missing out on something special here. But I'm more proud of the fact that the PS3 community, as a whole, has decided not to reward a company that bitches about a system without even developing on it while simultaneously holding out their hands for cash.
Infinity Ward and Epic got my money on PS3. Valve took it on PC. It sucks for the PS3 only people but what incentive is there for either party to progress?
Valve refused to work on their own game for the platform and it suffered as a whole because of it.
PS3 owners refused to support the attitude and laziness presented in their version of Orange Box.
Lessons learned all around, I'd say.

I agree with you. I own the 360 version of the Orange Box,spent the time getting 98 of the 100 achievements,and even I say this is bullshit. If they see a portion of the money coming from the PS3 sales,then they can quit pissing on the PS3 customers and put this update out. They can shit on their customers,but take a portion of the money at the same time,how cute.

1 more comment. I own a 360 but I think this is lame. If you as a company help create a mutiplatform game (or take money to have your game become mutiplatform), I think you should have some responsibilty to make sure all the platforms are equal as can be. You just piss off customers this way. They shoud have just made this game a 360 exclusive if they didn't intend to support it properly.

Sony obviously wasn't supportive of Valve when they first started creating the OB for PS3, relations fell apart for whatever reason. I'm sure they'll patch it up and offer DLC, otherwise Sony would be losing potential sales.
Either way, if you're not playing TF2 on PC, you're not playing TF2. You would have to threaten castration, have a cold shiny knife in your hands, have my pants down and exposed before I dropped my mouse and keyboard for FPS's :P
