Where is the boycott for Killzone 2? Someone send me the link. I mean gamers didn't let EA push DICE to sell weapons with Battlefield: Bad Company so why are we letting this developer shove lies and broken promises down our throats? I say the later is far worse; I'm not buying the game out of principle alone. There is no volumetric smoke, there is no color, and there are none of the things they have promised. They lie to build up publicity and media attention then quietly whisper a few months later that they were only kidding about all of it.

Fuck Guerilla and fuck their game, save your money for quality titles from developers who have earned the respect and admiration of the gaming community. Toss your cash at Resistance 2 this fall and save the rest for Sony's next big thing rather than picking up this pile of convoluted lies with smoke and mirrors next February. Also don't forget Little Big Planet, you'll need that pretty sugar filled platformer to keep you from flat lining after the blandfest (only in the color department guys, game looks great) that is Resistance 2 and other modern FPS’s.

Killzone 2 just because I effing loved Liberation.Libeartion was like Contra but in 3D,it was awesome and the Boss fights were great.

I'm checking Resistance 2 looks awesome maybe when I get my PS3 with MGS4 I'll rent,I might buy it.


I hope Guerilla delivers.

Killzone Liberation (PSP) is one of my favorite portable games.

Just thinking about Resistance 2 makes me smile.

Resistance 2 is a definite buy - because Resistance was a great game. I know it is purely anecdotal but my friends and I spent way more time on Resistance than we did on CoD4 or Halo3.


Killzone 2 I will more than likely get as well - time will tell. The graphics look superb (which is a GOOD thing people, but not the ONLY thing) and the game play videos that leaked a few weeks back looked absolutely intense. I'll probably snag this one as well.

I'm sorry but after playing some stellar FPS games in the last couple of years these just look terribly dire. Yea - lets make it all dark with shiny aliens. Didn't Doom 3 teach either these 2 devs anything? Wonder if they can finally make a good Killzone game as well, or make Resistance exciting to play.

But these games could be good if not for the last few years of Orange Box, CoD4 et al.

I'm more excited about Resistance 2 really. The series has been a complete fantasy fulfillment for me so far. I mean, WW2, with aliens(sort of)! How can you not resist that?!

Okay now that I've read the article in question on MTV's multiplayer I have this to say:

Versus? Comparison? There is none. It's just a paragraph of one game then a paragraph about how the other game. And we don't really learn anything new that we haven't known for months already! Really the closest statement of an actual comparison was "Killzone looks more polished," that was it. No in-depth explanation what it had and resistance lacked. Gah! This isn't news! It's bloodly filler! Filler I say!

The first Resistance was badass, Its def going to rock this time too. I never played Killzone before tho but im going to get Killzone 2 because its really sexy looking, and it cant be as bad as HAZE lol. How many of you guys downloaded the Haze demo? If you havent and your in need of a good laugh i would suggest giving it about 10 seconds of your time, cuz after 11 you will be looking for a gun to shoot yourself.

And im curious why the hell does everyone complain that alot of shooters are in earth tones? They take place in the middle of a fucking warzone, have you never watched Black Hawk Down or any other war movie in the last 30 years? (Cept Vietnam ones of course) I dig the drab depressing enviroments like K2 and R2 will have, save the color for awesome games like Uncharted or something.

Getting both, for sure. No reason not two. The release dates are far enough apart that I will be able to save for the other and will be done playing R2 when K2 comes out. Plus, R2 with 60 people in multiplayer == redonk! Killzone 1 was mediocre, Killzone:Libertation was amazing, and I have been waiting forever to kick some next(current)-gen Helgast asses.

Killzone 2 will suck because Killzone 1 did, right? For ths same reason, halo muct have been crap because remeber the game Bungie brought out before that one, called Oni? Metacritic score of 69.

And funny how the "gameplay matters not graphics" is brought up because a major reason Killzone 1 was scored lower is BECAUSE of graphical issues - pop-ups, framerate slowdowns.

Okay maybe in your mind Guerrilla is an evil corporation that makes their games using dead puppies and in their free time the developers beat baby seals but the reality is that they are like any other developer. What BS? you mean ye old 2005 CGI trailer? Dude talk about “never forget” they tried to recreate in game the exact same thing, of course it doesn’t look as good as CGI but they tried and the game looks awesome.

What really bothers me is that you insult me for whatever my point of view is and you don’t aggregate anything. In the DBZ post I just wanted to say that Cel Shading is cheap compared for what it can be done nowadays. Cel-sahding can be improved so it could look sorta like viva Piñata or other colorful games which animation is fluid and not boxy. Your response was “you are gay”.
