Behold: Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li
67
Capcom's community blog has posted the above photo of Kristin Kreuk in brawler-to-film adaptation, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Though we don't get to see the high-kicking agent's leg-end, we're told Kreuk "is Chun Li assuredly in this sexy photo." We don't disagree, but it's not Chun-Li until we see some freakishly huge hands. Feel free to, uh, pore over the terrifyingly large and detailed version of the photo if you want.

Lucy Liu is way too old (age 40). Plus, she's got that...hmmm...what's it called...it's not lazy eye... Have you ever known a person that, when they're looking directly at you, it seems like they're not looking at you? It's like they're looking around you. She's got that real bad.

No offense taken. Personally, I think Tila resembles a gremlin and makes all of us Vietnamese people look like heroin addicts, but whatever. My point was that as gorgeous as Kristin Kreuk is, Chun-Li she is not. Even if they put a steamy shower scene in this movie (please, do it!), I can't accept her as one of my favorite Street Fighter Characters. Plus, a wooden mannequin would make a better lead actor.

nope doesn't look like her at all. you would think they would at least dress her up in her standard qipao and ox horns. but it isn't all about the look, we can be ensured of top quality multidimensional potrayal of her and the deep and engaging story line right?..... right?

maybe because the movie is called "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" and so we want Chun-Li to be portrayed as close as possible?

I still think that Jackie Chan should have a few roles on this movie...

I doubt it is very good for an actress' image when they play parts that don't call for makeup. There is a nasty zit to the right side (our right) of her nose. Probably isn't too happy to get that in HD.

I'm not seeing it. There's a small imperfection in her complexion on her left cheek and that's about it. Look at the high-res version. Personally I think she looks great, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Hell, the dirt looks better than a lot of the trashy overdone makeup that's common today.

I'm aware skin isn't perfect, but the decades most acresses and actors spend putting on various layers of makeup to make it look that way, HD is not a particularly good thing.

I think that's quite the hyperbole LT. I mean, I know I'm biased because I'm a big Smallville fan, but I think she looks great, even in Hyper HD. Kristin Kreuk ftw!

I'm a fan as well, though I'm more partial toward Allison Mack.

When Allison started on the show I was luke warm about her, but now I'm big on her too. That being said, she cannot replace Lana! I'm sad to see her go but wish her the best.

To someone that has never left the confines of home and thinks everyone that has skin that isn't classified as "Mexican" or "Black" is therefore "Chinese", yes, she does look it.

Speaking of which ...
Anybody know about the next gen UFC game that was shown last year at E3 ... I think it had The Ice Man vs Sugar Rashad in the video and they fight reasonably soon ... Maybe a launch in the next few months?
Can't wait to see Tito get his ass whipped tomorrow night by Machida

Damn she looks FIERCE in that pic...
I think they're intentionally trying to make her look hood just so she can pass for a tough gal. She's so hot that they don't want that to be the ONLY reaseon idiotic people go to see the movie.
Personally I'm glad. I hope the movie is good although I have serious doubts....

In an effort to find something amusing I googled 'muscular asian women'. Needless to say the results without safe search on were terrifying rather than amusing and largely inappropriate for posting here.
Now excuse me while I just do ah, ah a little bit more 'research' on Rebekah Kresila.

you should also check out Michelle Jin, Cao Xin Li, & Krissy Chin. I think they all would've fit the bill too.

If the Kingpin and Nick Fury can be black, I think we can live with a canadian Chun Li.
