There are so many little factoids to take from this massive amount of data, we just don't know where to begin. Capcom has released what seems to be the life-to-date title and series sales figures on all its properties (via Next-Gen). The best-selling series is Resident Evil, with a reported 50 titles and 34.5 million unit sales. Second and third place go to Mega-Man (120 freakin' titles, 28m sales) and Street Fighter (59 titles, 23m sales), respectively.
The best-selling single game for Capcom has been Street Fighter II, released June 1992 for Super Nintendo / Super Famicom, with 6.3 million units sold. Overall, the company has had 46 titles attain platinum status. The biggest blast-from-the-past reminder for us was the Super Nintendo's Aladdin at the No. 14 best-selling title with 1.75 million unit sales.

I don't know why I liked Aladdin so much, but I did. I played it over and again. It was a game that could be beaten, perfectly, all the way through in a reltaively short time and at one point in my life I was doing this at least once a day.

For some reason, the password "Genie, Jafar, Aladdin, Abu" stays with me to this day (takes you to the level inside the lamp). Why? I'm not sure...

Could only mean Mega Man II Powered Up!... Capcom, have you not realized the amount of nostalgia-whores completely obsessed with Mega Man II that are out there? Would probably sell them on a PSP should they not already have one!
I'd buy, Powered Up! was excellent. Love the art direction.

I'm not a nostalgia whore but megaman games are badass.
A powered up remake of II and III is no brainer.Port it to the Ps2 and Wii as well if they must but I really want a new Megaman Powered Up!

A little disappointing to see the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 ahead of GCN. I guess people really did wait it out.
Also, can't for the life of me figure out how they managed "10 games" for Devil May Cry series...
You have DMC, DMC 2, DMC 3, and DMC3 SE, as well as DMC 5th Anniversary Collection on PS2 - DMC 4 and DMC 4 LCE on 360 - DMC 4 and DMC 4 LCE on PS3.
Ubisoft published the PC version (which wasn't ported by Capcom) of DMC3 SE, and DMC 4 hasn't come out on PC yet... Where's the tenth game, considering this is series total sales to date???

It's not the fact that Mikami isn't heading up RE5 that's got me worried (Zelda's been doing fine since OoT), it's the fact he doesn't even work for Capcom anymore that has me ever so slightly nervous for this game.

Capcom really needs to make a lot of games...
Also, Tatsunoko vs Capcom looks friggin' awesome. THAT is how SF IV should look.
I'm kinda mulling over getting a PS3 since it won't be coming to the USA and it can play region free games.
BUT! Not until we know where Mikami's game for Platinum is going yet, first.

It blows my mind that there have been one hundred and twenty titles in the Mega Man franchise. That's about one every 2 months for the past 20 years.
Although it's perhaps even more telling that none of them after the first three (and maybe the first X game) are in any way essential.
And it's NINTENDO that gets accused of re-hashing the same IP over and over again for generations?
