Did you neglect to preorder Wii Fit or pick it up on launch day, yet still want to buy Nintendo's much hyped fitness title? Then you might have noticed that it's pretty hard to find, depending on where you live. If eBay is any indication of the market's general trends, though, supply is currently not meeting the game's demand.
Should you want to avoid the hassle of calling all your local stores and waiting on lines, you might want to utilize zooLert. The website updates every two minutes, checking all the major online retailers that are selling Wii Fit. You can have the site email you when the game is in stock online, or even add the feed to your RSS so that you don't have to constantly watch the page.
Procrastinators, this one's for you.

Wow. I wonder if they didn't produce a lot of Wii Fit due to the hardware included, or if this thing is just selling really well.
Probably a little of both.

I picked one up at Game Stop this morning - their policy says that if you don't pick up your pre-order in a certain amount of time (3 days?), they sell them to whoever asks. Sucks for the forgetful/unmotivated, good for me!

And yet another reason I won't preorder from them.
I was able to get Wii Fit with no problems. I just moseyed into Target last night and they had a box of them behind the counter, plus a bunch more in the display case. They also had Wiis in stock. Shortages Shmortages, Target FTW as usual!
I was also able to pick up Rock Band on launch day there with no problems even though GameStop said they wouldn't get any more for months.

I got an unclaimed preorder as well. Just walked in at 7:00pm the day after and they were like here you go.

I was unsure about getting Wii Fit and, to be honest, the possibility of a shortage was more of a motivation to buy it now than any other factor. So far, it's been fun and, wow I'm way out of shape.

I'm waiting for Memorial Day weekend (which I guess starts in a few hours) to see if anyone is having a sale. I expect some, and hopefully they will have enough WiiFit to meet demand.

Candace,
Thanks for your great writeup!
As you can imagine, we are getting a lot of people coming in from your writeup.
That said, we are also getting a LOT of questions and suggestions.
To address a very specific one above, we are looking to add .ca (Canada) sites ASAP. It will take a little bit of time, but we are working on it. It's not something we originally had in mind, but it looks like there is some demand!
Thanks again!

These are the best. The UK site is the fastest email alerts site in the UK. I ordered mine from Toys R Us through them.
Excellent service! :)
