it's been absolutely impossible to find one
so far i've called at least 270 stores in a 100 mile radius and only found 6 total copies, across 2 stores, and the one with 5 copies sold out totally within 2 minutes. preordering was impossible, within 2 hours of opening, every store offline and online anywhere even remotely near me was out of preorders. ebay has them for 150 and i'm considering that, but i wish Nintendo would stop things like saying 2 seperate release dates and controlling supply.

Yup, will be playing more wii fit this weekend. I also hope to clean my place and thus clear a little more space for some of the strength exercises and yoga poses.

I also want to get more red fish. I suck as a penguin.

"I also want to get more red fish. I suck as a penguin."

Having not played Wii Fit, I can't help be perplexed by this sentence. However, I imagine that I would also suck as a penguin.

I preordered mine on walmart.com a week ago. Got it from UPS on Wednesday. Good game, everyone in the family has set up an account and tried it. Though I found it odd it said I lost 2 lbs. within one day, but its better then gaining 2 lbs!

day over day your weight can fluctuate a lot, depending on whether you drank a bunch of water, haven't pooped/pee'd in awhile, and a bunch of other factors. so people shouldn't stress out if it goes up or down day by day. it's the long term trend one should look at.

hopefully I can beat lost winds. I keep getting lost.

its such a cool game but very frustrating to figure out a puzzle and then end up right back where you started.

also I will try to get a little deeper into OKAMI.

Picked one up on Wednesday. I think the concept is awesome, but the software needs some work. You should be able to customize a workout and then let it go on autoplay. Having to stop and click the A button everytime I want to change a workout is a waste of time. The "30 minute" workout you are doing shouldn't take 45 mins...

for some of the activities, I put the wiimote on the floor in front of the board. I then hit A with my toe to re-start the event, etc. Obviously this won't let me change activities, but it's still helpful at times. It's also nice that "Retry" is the default selection for A-click (If I had someone else around I'd just make them select and click for me though.)

They need to make the actual fitpad the input device. Stomp your right foot for the "Ok" selection. It would make things easier.

I pre-ordered mine. I figured they'd all get snatched up rather quick, so I decided it would be best to order it. I'll be hitting up the wiifit over the weekend probably, but I need to play the WeSki that I bought at the same time. It's just been sitting on the shelf since I got it.

Random question: for the weight, do they deduct the weight of the wiimote (around 7 ounces I believe)?

Avoiding Wii Fit, i'm hanging up the Wii Wheel for a while to let Okami into my life, though that won't be until monday

Between now and then, i'm tackling chapters 3-5, 3-6, and 3-7 on Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The latter of which are two of the coolest chapters in the game

Yay! Another sale for Okami!

You shall love it like few games to ever come before it, Mr Kahn.

Just picked it up today - wasn't psyched enough to pre-order, but when I heard there were a few available (they have to sell unclaimed preorders after a few days - handy bit of info, that), I just had to grab one. Can't wait to get this thing home!

Got mine yesterday after Amazon shipped it ground instead overnight. I've discovered I'm in pretty bad shape, but that might be getting used to it - day 1, Wii Fit age was 54, today it was 35. I'm 36. I doubt my health improved overnight that dramatically, I think I just head-butted enough soccer balls and made enough ski jumps to find my balance.

Our copy arrived at lunchtime today. It was my brother's birthday present to my wife. She's skeptical but I'm definitely going to give it a go this weekend, and she and her best friend/neighbor (who got a Wii a few weeks ago) may play it together.

Talking of said best friend/neighbor, I'm going to babysit their kids tomorrow night and play Okami all evening... (that or I'm going to take some of my saves over on an SD card and play Z&W, Puzzle Quest or Galaxy)

Just got mine from Amazon today. The workouts are surprisingly awesome. I enjoyed the jogging in place a lot. I agree with the idea about autoplay. Having to select what you want each time allows you to run off early, shaving one or two exercises off your daily routine.

However, the balance board cartoon is an ASSHOLE. Not only do they tell you you're obese (I'm overweight, not obese, my doctor said so), the speaker says it in a way-too-happy cartoon voice ("ha ha! you're obese!") and then INFLATES YOUR EFFING MII TO SHOW YOU WHAT A FATASS YOU ARE. Not to mention the backhanded snark it delivers when you inevitably blow your first balance test ("Do you trip a lot when you walk?").

It doesn't bother me at all, other than wondering how no one playtested this and thought to themselves what a butthead the balance board was, but no wonder that kid was traumatized.

Might be a bit of a cultural disconnect again

We'll definitely be playing more this weekend! So far I'm really good at the ski jump and tight rope, but could definitely use some major improvement on my balance so I'll be practicing my yoga this weekend.

I came home from work today and my mom asks:
"What's that thing that looks like a step?"
"What?"
"That thing upstairs that looks like a step, on the floor, your brother said it's a WiiFit."
"Then that's what it is."
"Is it fun?"
"Yeah, in a way"
"Can I try it sometime?"
"Do you weigh over 330 pounds?" (note: she obviously isn't)
"No!"

i preordered. i'm enjoying it quite a bit. making sure to do it everyday. only thing that sucks is that it seems to just piss off my friends and family, so i mostly have to play/enjoy alone.
