Rumorang: Killer Instinct making a return?

Going by the mouthful Killer Instinct 3D: Death, Destruction and Doom, the rumored Xbox 360 fighter is said to axe the previous titles' rendered graphics and button mashing in favor of 3D visuals and more robust gameplay. Still, it remains to be seen if this latest attempt rekindle interest in Killer Instinct will pan out, or if once again it will do an Ultra Combo to our heart.

Yeah sure Mcpoop, whatever you say. So how's Haze? You know what my kids love that game, they play the demo EVERYDAY cuz they love the split screen. I even created them their own PSN ID lololol I didn't want anyone seeing me playing the demo :O since I dogged it so much.
I actually might pick it up (go figure) for them when that sucker goes in the bargain bins cuz its the closest to Halo they are gonna get. I don't let them play my 360 anymore and Halo 3 was like their favorite game. :P

As for Haze (if your genuinely interested) -
Its a damn fun game ... It all comes down to personal preference and while the character models and controls are top notch the graphics are not what I would call up to standard ... However, I have said this to my brother when he asked about Haze - I have had more fun in 5 hours of Haze then 5 months with Halo 3 ... Maybe I am a sucker for bad games or maybe I actually play a game before making a judgement ... I liked Lair and I like Haze - a lot actually - I can understand the criticism because I think the majority of reviewers had COD 4 like expectations due to the developer pedigree and delays ... I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone with a PS3 who enjoys shooters

Trust me, when Haze gets to 30 or lower either me or my wife is going to buy it. My kids keep bugging for Haze and GTAIV but as you know GTAIV is just wayyyyy too crazy for them to be playing. I don't even let them watch me play it because of all the *constant cursing. Kinda wish they had a option to tone the language down.
Hell yeah I'm into UFC and MMA. I DVR all the Ultimate Fighters on Spike TV too. I usually never miss a ppv but one of my best buddies graduated from U of H and had a huge party last night. I just saw the results on yahoosports so guess it was a good match eh. I'll have to catch the replay later on when they show it on UFC Unleashed.

You will not be sorry if you pick up Haze ... It is damn fun and a neat game ... Like I said if your expecting some kind of COD 4 type of game in scope you will be let down ... However, the multiplayer is fun, co-op is fun, the vehicles have fantastic controls anf the game in general is awesome ... I think the only think that is a small letdown would have to be the environment and some of the graphics ... They were not great by anyones standard ... But, it will tide me over until Quake Wars and MGS 4 come out ... I bet you could get a used copy at a Gamestop for around 40-45 bucks ...
As for MMA -
I actually train with a former MMA fighter ... I don't train for fighting in the ring but for self defense and exercise ... I study a system known as American Combat which was developed by my uncle who was a marine and martial arts champion ... I am so psyched because next Saturday on CBS is eliteXC and Kimbo Slice is fighting as well as Gina "Crush" Carano ... Not to mention on June 1st or 2nd Urijah Faber is fighting Jens Pulver on Versus ... It is being hyped as the greatest lightweight fight in MMA history and rightfully so ...Faber is amazing ... Then on June 7th UFC Bedlum is going to aire on PPV from England!
If you catch any highlights from last night try to fin Wanderli Silva vs Keith Jardine ... Its not a long fight - maybe 30 seconds and its damn brutal and almost scary!
Glad to see I am not the only MMA/Boxing nut here ...
Speaking of Boxing - Sugar Shane Mosely is fighting Zab Super Judah next week on PPV as well ...
After the BJ Penn fight last night he said he wanted to fight George St.Pierre next! That may go down as the most watched fight in MMA history ... Bj Penn is AMAZING and so is St.Pierre ... Would love to see Cung Le get in the ring with Anderson Silva, Penn or St.pierre as well ...
One last thing (I know I am going on and on)- Affliction is starting up a new MMA circuit and the first PPV fight will be in July ... Headlining the card is FEDOR vs Tim Sylvia!
Anyone who watched any MMA outside of just the UFC will tell you that Fedor is arguably the greatest fighter int he history of MMA (I say its Bas Rutten) ... Fedor said he will not fight in the UFC because they wont pay him enough ... Affliction is rumored to be paying him over $1,000,000 for his next fight ... If you know Fedor you remember he last beat a 7ft+ tall japanese dude

Urg, this game was so awfully shallow. Rare should leave this series in the past. A game like this won't rekindle their former glories. Instead, it will further highlight their horrid decline.

This is in my top 3 of favorite fighting games of all time ... Right behind Mortal Kombat II & Tekken 2 ... Those were the last few glory years of arcades as I remember them ...
Favorite Character was Chief Thunder ... Orchid was tight because she had the easiest combo to string out ...
I will own the Arcade version one day!

Wow, once we pass all the fanboy banter, we really do have similar tastes in videogames. Those were my top 3 fighting games as well (with SFII and Fatal Fury series battling for 4th) and those were my favorite characters on KI (Orchid gave me preteen boners with her Madonna boob cups. LOL). I will disagree with you though and say that Cinder and Glacius's combos were easier/cheaper.

Personally I would rather have an HD remake of the Originals than a sequel. Most fighting games do not transfer from 2d to 3d very well.
By the way is anyone else having problems with a joystiq playing these totally annoying ads with a humming bird or some shit. I tell it to skip and the browser window just goes all black.AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

Oh yeah, just about all Neo-Geo fighters. They dont hold up so well now but they were kick-ass back in the day. The corner store by my house where I grew up had 2 cabinets and the owner would always get the latest releases.

I love how most of the SNK Arcade machines could switch between 2-5 games. Their top-down airplane shooters were killer as well as the Metal Slug series. I couldn't ever get into Art of Fighting but SNK had so many other good fighting games. Yeah I loved Samurai Showndown II as well ... The orchid combo was just super easy to string out ... Cinder had the infinite combo with all of the flip kicks ... Eyedol had the same thing when you did the cheat code to play as him ...
I loved the fatality thing where chief thunder would turn the wolf (saber wolf?) into a can of dog food ... awesome shit ...
I also loved Primal Rage around that same time ... Very cool and bloody dinosaur fighting game ...
