Gamestop taking preorders for Gears of War re-release, launches June 24

We're pretty sure that everyone and their dog played the original Gears of War the first time around (aside from most Border Collies, who are, in fact, devout PS3 fanboys), but if you've yet to divide a competitor using a firearm/lumberjack tool, a Gamestop pre-order listing for a $40 Gears re-release might tickle your fancy. We've yet to hear from Microsoft about details for the title (or a confirmation of the game's existence, for that matter), but as the listing reads "Gears of War with Maps", we can only assume it will contain the Hidden Fronts DLC as well as the Raven Down and Old Bones levels, rather than the hit song by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. With less than a month until the game's supposed release date of June 24, we're sure to hear more soon.

Collies in General are awesome but they are more of Comodore 64,PC and poker gamers.

Collies don't like this gen in particular but it seems cats like it and Hamsters are more into portables these days.

I know Cliffy said the PC exclusive content would stay exclusive, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it were included in this re-release.

I don't get why they'd want to keep the PC extra missions exclusive. As a PC player who doesn't own a 360 and does own Gears for Windows, I don't feel a deep, burning sense of betrayal at the thought of people who own 360's being able to play those levels.

Uhm, by the way, PS3 fanboy here, I already played this game on my gaming PC with a 360 controller. Did I miss something that 360 players missed? Oh wait, actually the PC version had all the DLC 360 chumps bought after dolling out $60. And I got my Gears on sale new for $30.

I got a 360 after my PS3 died (will get PS3 again later), I certainly miss the multimedia features of it.

I hope my Falcon model doesn't red ring, sure runs loud as hell on GTA4 in my cabinet, feel like any day its just going to explode. : /

For what I have to spend on a new 360, I could easilly upgrade my PC to play Gears of War easily on high end, just need to plug a couple of 1 gig ram dims and I'm set
