Is it sad that this is the first time I've ever heard of Quake Wars coming to the 360/PS3, but I absolutely knew what the game Bus Driver is? You'd think they'd have spent a little money marketing this thing...but then again, who that didn't play it on the PC, is still looking to play it on the 360/PS3? I played the demo, and it sent me directly to mehsville.

Yeah, I played the demo and looked around and I was certain I took a wrong turn, because I was in Mehsville.

Bus Driver, on the other hand...

Holy crap did anyone said Bus Driver?

Well since I'm sure you need a computer so powerful that it could run Crysis and 3D studio max without breaking a sweat to play Bus Driver I guess I'll go for Enemy Territory:Quake Wars.

If the few reviews I've read are anything to go by, a Crysis-able PC struggles to run it at a steady framerate. Seriously.

What are the required components to play Crysis then? I mean if I wanted to play Crysis (I might wait for the PS3 or Xbox 360 version) what would be the recommended specifications for my hypothetical new computer?

Any system from a reputable gaming PC builder (read: chillblast, Cyberdirect or Computer Planet) at £400 or above should easily be able to do it.

A year or so before Crysis came out, I built a new rig with SLI'd 7900 GT's, 4gb of Ram, and a core 2 duo 6700, so that I could play Oblivion at 1080p/high. Since I had recently spent all that money, I figured that I'd be fine when Crysis came out....I was wrong. A constant 30fps (atleast) being my metric for when a game is playable, I could only get Crysis up to 1080p at Medium, and if I wanted to play "High" I had to lower the res below 720p (it just wouldn't work at 720p. Apparently going from Med to High is a bigger strain on your card than upping the res).

In other words, to play Bus Driver, you'll need a super computer from the future. To play Crysis, you will need one of the new 9900's or whatever the hell Nvidia's top card is right now. (I can't, in good conscience, suggest an ATI card).

I'm running Crysis on high on an 8800GT (4gb ram, q9450 processor). I'd imagine you could easily get away with one of the better dual core chips like an e8400 and it'd run just as well.

It's the graphics card more than anything. My x1950Pro is old hat, but it runs it on 1280x1024, medium, fairly fine.

The multiplayer is keeping some of the people who played it on the PC a year ago coming back to it.

The MP is probably the most addicting part of it, but only if you're into a fast paced strategy-FPS.

A lot of people thought ET:QW was crap.

There's a reason why the population went from pretty large to a couple dozen.

I want to go for Quake Wars, but alas I can only afford one this week, and I'm going to have to go with Colonies.

I'll probably regret it later on too, when I do finally pick up Quake Wars and everyone is so damn good at it already... Which is alright if a game is as accessible as Team Fortress 2, but from what I understand ET: Quake Wars is as complicated as it could possibly get.

All my friends will be on Colonies, so will I. Lost Planet may not have the brilliant objective class-based multiplayer that's all the rage, but it is a damn fun game online. Can't wait to dive back into some Fugitive and Post-Grab matches!

I would recommend picking up the original game, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory for the PC first. It's a free game and isn't very graphically intensive. Plus from what I heard, it is better than Quake Wars.

You can find the full game for free on

My DS isn't big enough for the both of them!

Nintendo's dumb for not releasing their own Sudoku game using the Brain Age engine. That's the best version of Sudoku on the DS, period.
Nice that they use it for Crosswords DS (or is it Crosswor DS?).

Even their own Sudoku Gridmaster (developed by Hudson) doesn't use the Brain Age engine.

Bus Driver has been out for a while, i've seen it in shops for at least 6 months and my friend has had the demo for over a year =/ Unless these are just American release dates or something, in which case when you make these posts you should write down the games which are coming out in each region or something :I

That said, Bus Simulator 2008 is so much better than Bus Driver... Only not really, they're both terrible, especially Bus Simulator.

All I want is RTCW + ET ported to XBLA, without any visual and gameplay changes...maybe a few new maps.

Is this too much to ask for?
