Bionic Commando Rearmed's May deployment delayed
Attention, soldiers! It looks like the Bionic Commando Rearmed remake is going AWOL for a little bit longer. According to a message on the BC website's Communicator, the game is complete but missing its scheduled May release date. The game is reportedly done but has a few bug fixes and submissions procedures to battle.
To spare you the hassle of clicking through a whole lot of retro text boxes (and it was a pain), we've provided transcription of the message after the break.

"This is MA-1. Sir, we know you've been waiting to get your hands on the finished Bionic Commando Rearmed, but it appears we've run into a few problems in the closing stages. I regret to inform you that we have received confirmation that the game won't be making its scheduled May release.
"This is always the hardest part of any battle, sir. All we can tell you is that the game is done and is more awesome than pure liquid awesome sir! Our troops right now are in the trenches, battling with bugs and submission procedures. Fatigue is starting to set in but they won't give up until that game is on the shelves!
"What's that, sir? There are no shelves, it's a downloadable title? You sure told me, sir. What a world we live in!"

The original Bionic Commando was sweet back in the day, Does anyone know the price on this? If it's under $10 I'm getting it on 360 day 1.
Ben! @ May 27th 2008 3:59PM
I believe it's the MS points equivalent of $10.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 27th 2008 4:01PM
I think that's like 800 points or something...why can't Microsoft just change their points to equal pennies? They could still force you to get extra points just like Nintendo does.
PojoMofo @ May 27th 2008 4:02PM
I think its $10 and 1200 Spacebux.
"submission procedures" = MS dicking then around
PojoMofo @ May 27th 2008 4:04PM
CTC, your right 800 points = $10, forgot :)
Bleu @ May 27th 2008 4:33PM
I like sony method...$10 no points no nothing just give them $10 bucks....simple and quick none of that points bullshit.

I haven't bought anything on PSN yet, do they do what Microsoft and Nintendo do and force you to pay more then you need to or do they just charge you the price?
marauder800 @ May 27th 2008 4:52PM
@ Bleu
I'd rather not give out my CC number to MS or Sony, so the points system works great for me. I'm waiting for Sony to adopt something similar before I buy anything off PSN.
Nate @ May 27th 2008 5:15PM
Marauder - you're a little paranoid if you think a company as big as Sony or Microsoft is going to do anything bad with your credit card number (not to mention the fact you can dispute any charges you want).
CTC - The way it works is you can either just put money into the account (in increments of $5) and pay for things that way, or wait until you purchase and put in exactly the amount you need. Basically, you're just loading the account with precisely the amount you need, and then spend it on the things you marked for purchase. The only stipulation is that it can't be less than $5, so if you don't have any money in your account and want to buy a $1.99 song for Rock Band, you have to put in $5, put $1.99 towards rock band, and have 3.01 left over. However, if you purchase 3 of them for 5.97, you can put in exactly 5.97 and have $0 left over.

Thanks Nate, I'll have to try buying something tonight.
Marauder, do you even have a credit card or do you just keep your money stashed under your bed?
Mr.ESC @ May 27th 2008 5:50PM
I have to agree with marauder800 I like the pre-paid card system. About what Nate said is not that MS or Sony is going to something bad with it but c'mon how many times we have heard about stolen MS accounts and stuff, I don't think that will ever happen to me but if it happens I prefer my credit card number isn't in it.
Also that for some reason PSN isn't available for México.I wanted to buy some PS one games for my PSP for months.
AirIntake @ May 27th 2008 6:21PM
If you've ever used your credit card for any reason in person, you have much more to worry about w.r.t. identity theft than anything online. It doesn't take much for the waitress or gas station attendant to scribble down your number, expiry date, and confirmation number.
el serpiente @ May 27th 2008 11:58PM
Güey, just open a US account and use a temporary charge number from your credit card bank.

RUN INTO A FEW ---- WHAT?! RUN INTO A FEW WHAT? Oh the suspense is killing me!

"...but it appears we've run into a few problems in the closing stages. I regret to inform..."
Did you finish reading the article...or is my sarcasm detector broken?
Mr.ESC @ May 27th 2008 4:07PM
That's too bad but the way they put it is hilarious.
Peacefuloutrage @ May 27th 2008 4:24PM
Doh!
Courtney @ May 27th 2008 4:36PM
Arguable the best delay release announcement ever (not that there can be many contenders for that award).
hoagie @ May 27th 2008 4:51PM
"The game is reportedly done but has a few bug fixes and submissions procedures to battle."
Then it wouldn't be "done" then would it?! WTF!
It's cool, just don't delay SFII HD too...
cduran01 @ May 27th 2008 5:01PM
@marauder800: I don't think Sony will ever use a point system, and I hope they never do.
When PSN cards are more widely available you could use that, there's always those prepaid VISA/MASTERCARD cards you can get at Walmart/Walgreens or almost any convenient store and use that.
rodrigo @ May 27th 2008 5:02PM
is dis game good??
Mr.ESC @ May 27th 2008 5:51PM
Yeah.
riggs @ May 27th 2008 5:59PM
yes.
Professor Lario @ May 27th 2008 5:51PM
Possibly to implement freak'n co-op play over *gasp* the network?
Farseer (GDI) @ May 27th 2008 11:16PM
God that would be nice. I doubt it, but it certanly would be nice.
spyker @ May 27th 2008 11:39PM
I was really looking forward to this.... anyway, maybe next month.
T3KK9 @ May 28th 2008 1:01AM
I missed this one when I was a kid, but I'll be there to get Rearmed on day one, this looks too good to pass up. Not to mention I'll finally get to see what I missed out on all those years back.
Rahabib @ May 29th 2008 4:27PM
I heard its coming for PC. Is it coming via Steam?
