Metal Gear Solid 4 soundtrack released in Japan
The official Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots soundtrack came out in Japan today. The score was composed by Nobuko Toda and Harry Gregson-Williams, who have both contributed music to past MGS titles. The soundtrack is available for import via Play-Asia for $28. We caution, however, looking at the track listing as they contain minor spoilers (such as the "This is The Song You Hear When Snake Shoots Himself in the Head 78% Into the Game" – we're kidding). A copy of the soundtrack is also included in the Limited Edition version of the game. MGS4 is just two weeks away.

I hope MGS4 has better music than the MGO Beta had.

LOL, that really wouldn't surprise me if it had been on disc to eff with people. Afterall, "Little Gray" is in the game...
...two weeks can't come fast enough. :d

For me, it's a race to the finish. Can I beat MGS3 in time for MGS4...
And more importantly, now that I'm starting to drum on Hard in Rock Band... can I leave that alone long enough to finish MGS3...
And I'm hoping to get my new webcomic ready and running by MGS4s launch... DAMNIT!

In other news, scientists have discovered the Higgs Boson particle. While ordinarily this would be good news, discovery of the particle has triggered a freak collapse of the spacetime axis, resulting in massive worldwide time inflation. In international trading last night an hour closed at seventy-one minutes, and future futures traders are speculating that an hour could reach a hundred minutes by the end of the week, if "the end of the week" ever actually gets here.

I'm beside myself and I can't contain myself either.

My heart skipped a beat until I saw "we're kidding." Good one.

"44. Unmanned Army/ Nobuko Toda
45. Cold Memories/ Nobuko Toda
46. For Liberty/ Nobuko Toda
47. Surrounded/ Nobuko Toda"
Ooh! They are quite spoilerific titles. Sounds like Snake goes for one last push at the end and dies, or a cliff hanger?
Don't really care for the game though. Can't spare the cutscene length, really. It'll be on my to play list though.

So by released in Japan you mean released onto the internetz right?
Mr.ESC @ May 28th 2008 1:56PM
I heard Ennio Morricone helped in the soundtrack but I don't see his name anywhere in the soundtrack and he is mentioned in Konami official site.
Soundtrack with Ennio Morricone=Epic Win.
Without Ennion Morricone=Epic Fail with Aids.

game soundtracks are always excessively expensive
Sir Fidlious Wong (Justin T. McElroy Memorial Burn of the Day Award) @ May 28th 2008 2:05PM
That's because most game soundtracks are Japan only releases, where CDs in general are excessively expensive.

That's because most game soundtracks are Japan only releases, where EVERYTHING is excessively expensive.
