Nintendo dates 'Wario Land Shake' Wii, 'Rhythm Tengoku Gold' DS, other titles for Japan
Nintendo of Japan has rolled out its schedule for the summer session, dropping a few surprises along the way. First, Wario Land will graduate from handheld to console with Wario Land Shake for Wii on July 24. No further details have been given, so it's up to each of us to pray, dance, sacrifice some virgins (or whatever!) so that "Shake" doesn't end up an inept deviation from the mostly excellent Game Boy predecessors. Thankfully, DS owners will be served a far more promising sequel in Rhythm Tengoku Gold, arriving July 31 from the capable hands of Nintendo R&D1 (you know, the WarioWare team). Here are some highlights from the release date calendar:

I actually wish they'd bring RE Zero to the states.
I have it for GCN, but the Wii waggle might actually make it playable.
Dale @ May 28th 2008 1:12PM
As basically every other Wii title has proven, nothing is improved by tacking waggle on.
baby sea tuna @ May 28th 2008 1:28PM
...except RE4.
Mr.ESC @ May 28th 2008 11:59AM
F*ck I never played Resident evil 0,why this version had to be just for Japan :(
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 12:01PM
It's really stupid of Capcom to only release that in Japan, I think a lot of people missed it the first time around. After how good RE4Wii did I would be really surprised if they didn't release it in other regions. It looks like a good summer for Japan, hopefully we see some of these soon in the states. I'm getting tired of Mario Kart Wii's Nintendo Fairness feature.
ComradeTrotskii @ May 28th 2008 12:44PM
I wouldn't worry about it too much. It was easily the worst of the 'proper' RE games and its (even at the time) archaic control system is something we can all live without in this day and age.
Also shame on you for (presumably) not owning a Gamecube.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 1:03PM
I kind of liked the idea of switching back and forth between both characters in real time. It added some suspense. The whole train idea was kind of weird though.
Mr.ESC @ May 28th 2008 6:56PM
I was a PC gamer at the time and I thought it was going to be ported eventually.I was too much into Diablo 2.
Fernando Rocker @ May 28th 2008 12:01PM
Wario Land sounds like it's going to be a platformer, from the Land series... Wario has very good platformers games, but only on portables.
Also, Nintendo marked a new Kirby game to be released this year. I love Kirby platformers

=p
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 12:02PM
Hopefully the Kirby game is a platformer and not some star racing game or whatever that gamecube one was!
Fernando Rocker @ May 28th 2008 12:02PM
And Fire Emblem DS?
Strategy RPG with stylus controls? Yes, please =p
Fernando Rocker @ May 28th 2008 12:13PM
I found this two details for Wario Land Wii game:
- Hand drawn backgrounds
- Toon-shaded characters

Sounds like a 2d platformer then, should be good.
Noshino @ May 28th 2008 12:36PM
if it keeps the same kind of difficulty and awkwardness as previous installment (I loved WL3) then awesome!
As for Fire Emblem DS, they really need to go back to basic mechanics, dont add all the crap that previous installments have had that make the game so easy.
The only serious improvement needed on FE is on the multiplayer area, there is no multiplayer mode, no the arena sucked. That's only thing that I loved about Advance Wars
shivr @ May 28th 2008 1:38PM
yeah I don't think stylus controls will add much to the FE series... It certainatly didn't do much for advanced wars :p That said, it's the only game I'm excited about on that list :D The glorius return of 2-D battle animations after the boring GC/Wii ones, horray!

wtf
y is fernando being downvoted on a nintendo post? He's not trolling or even mentioning the other consoles. I guess people hate seeing his avatar...
Fatass of Sarcasmness @ May 28th 2008 2:28PM
Why is Fernando being downvoted? Seriously, I may not agree with the guy on everything he says but following him around like a lost puppy and downvoting everything he posts seems a little lame to say the least.
Damn, this site is filled to the brim with tools
Gun Barrier (=Gamer Tag) SSBB: 3952-6696-7009 @ May 28th 2008 2:41PM
wanna brawl fernando?
Mr Khan @ May 28th 2008 2:46PM
I would agree that Path of Radiance had incredibly awkward battle animations, but Radiant Dawn mostly alleviated that. It's very hard to get back to the glory of the 2-D days, but Radiant Dawn brought the characters to life at least, with most of the flourishes intact
Shadow El @ May 28th 2008 12:01PM
I'm looking forward for all of these games (except RE0, since that's probably just another REmake.) when they hit the US. Sadly, Rhythm Tengoku Gold probably won't. But I'll just wait for EBA 2.
Shadow El @ May 28th 2008 12:02PM
Apparently, the Wii-make of RE0 isn't going to the US anyway. My bad.
Edog Lost @ May 28th 2008 12:02PM
At first glance I thought this was the Zero Punc for today.
ComradeTrotskii @ May 28th 2008 12:53PM
It is actually up if you're interested:

Rhythm Tengoku, Band Brothers...I wonder if we'll get either of these games this time around.
samfish @ May 28th 2008 12:03PM
I'll be all over Wario Land when it comes here, probably. Rhythm Tengoku is great news for a lot of people, too.
But why is RE0 up there? All the rest of those games are, if I'm not mistaken, being at least published by Nintendo. RE0 is Capcom...

NINTENDO DS GUITAR HERO. This makes me want to never play Guitar Hero ever again? Who are the add wizards who came up with this ?

"This makes me want to never play Guitar Hero ever again?"
Welcome to 2007 where we all played Guitar Hero 3. Also, how is that a question?
LeadBoxx @ May 28th 2008 12:11PM
Oops sorry I messed up. Thanks for pointing that out jerk.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 12:16PM
Your welcome.
LeadBoxx @ May 28th 2008 12:19PM
Since we are so worried about proper grammar, it's "you're" as in "You are welcome." Not your. So now you are even a bigger A-hole. I win.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 12:24PM

CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 12:32PM
"it's "you're" as in "You are welcome." Not your."
Since we are so worried about proper grammar, you wrongly capitalized the "N" in "not". So now you are even a bigger A-hole. I win.
Noshino @ May 28th 2008 12:38PM
Give it up, you lost.
LeadBoxx @ May 28th 2008 12:42PM
Thanks Noshino, I just wanted you guys to see that video I posted. He is still wrong again because it is a new sentence so it should be capitalized, the period to end the sentence is inside the quotes. I am done.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 12:52PM
I think he is saying you lost LeadBoxx...My higher ratings show that I am the clear winner.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 12:57PM
And actually just so everyone learns something about grammar today, this is how the sentence should have been written
Since we are so worried about proper grammar, it's "you're" as in "You are welcome." Not your.
Does anyone see a problem here? Here is the correct grammar of the sentence.
Since we are so worried about proper grammar, it's "you're" as in "You are welcome", not your.
We take out the capital "N" as well as the period in the quotes because "not your" ends the sentence. Ending the sentence before "not your" and having a sentence that is simply "Not your." doesn't make any sense because "Not your." is not a complete sentence.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 1:00PM
Also, throw some quotes around the "not your" so it looks like this, "not "your"".

Rhythm Tengoku needs a North American release
Phillip @ May 28th 2008 12:42PM
Isn't RE0 just a port and not a remake? They should remake all the REs with the control of RE4 so the games are actually playable. As opposed to the excuse of the controls they have now.

Daigasso Band Bros DX? Rythm Tengoku Gold?
I think my DS just shed solid-gold tears of joy.
TheFreak @ May 28th 2008 12:47PM
And why can I never spell "Rhythm" correctly? This perplexes me.
Blue_Falcon @ May 28th 2008 12:50PM
I have the same problem as well. I always add another letter, for some reason. It bugs me.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ May 28th 2008 1:22PM
I never use the right "you're". For some reason I always just type "your". I know that I do this and I know the correct spelling, I just can't quit.
tacoman @ May 28th 2008 4:50PM
That's what I'm talking about! Rhythm Tengoku was the last great GBA game, so glad there's going to be a sequel!

Too many posts about grammar in this thread... it must be destroyed

As a Wii owner I am inclined to believe the Wii doesn't have much else to offer now that Zelda, Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy, and Metroid have made their run.

Thats where the 3rd Party need to it kick up to make some bold titles
