As was hinted in a recent video (embedded after the break), TV Party will make use of the Wii balance board. Early screenshots indicate the balance board is not required for every game, but will involve sitting on the board and shaking your butt. Said CEO Yves Guillemot, "The inclusion of the Wii Balance Board into the game was a huge source of inspiration for our development team and I guarantee you will see the Wii Balance Board used in ways that will be surprisingly unexpected!" More details are to come at this year's E3.

Those wascally wabbits are back. Ubisoft has announced Raving Rabbids TV Party, due out this holiday season for the Nintendo Wii and DS. Said the press release, "The Rabbids plan to invade televisions worldwide, providing players with a variety of games and comedic exploits spoofing TV shows, pop culture and even advertisements."

So that's already 3 Rabbid games in 2 years, across 5 or 6 platforms. Who are you guys, Activision?

But now is a Nintendo exclusive... the 360 version sucks.
It needs Wii remote...

As far as I'm concerned, all of the RRR games are of middling quality, regardless of the platform.

Yes... I mean, Rabbids was the first mini-game game on the Wii, and at least is fun, characters are appealing, and the graphics are not that bad.
But what I mean is, I prefer this series over shovelware minigames like Gameparty or any other minigames compilations from unknow developers.

I agree with you there.
I had fun with the first Rabbids, but the shine wore off really quickly. The second was just more of the same. They're good characters though, so maybe this one will be more appealing to me.
...not that I have a balance board or anything, anyway.

I prefer a complete game over a compilation of minigames

Me too, remember our talk about RPG's? But if they are going to do minigames, at least make a good quality game.
I don't buy minigames compilations and that kind of games, but this is the only minigame series that I like, specially because of the Rabbids.

Actually I liked the xbox 360 version but I bought the Ps2 version first.
The rabbids are awesome but isn't time for a platformer? I mean the franchise is called Rayman Raving Rabbids after all.
The first was refreshing but when you turn it into a franchise microgames get old too fast,I really want a platformer with the rabbids.

Mr ESC
I'm pretty sure that they will do a Rabbids game someday. Well, I hope.
3 itinerations of minigames is enough.

Seeing you on here just reminded me, there was a screenshot from Joystiq's R* Houser interview from a week or so back in Screwattack's "Hard News" that had your avatar (and Co's) at the top of the thread.
Just thought you'd like to know.

Oh man Tonic Trouble was one of my favorite games back in the day and the translation in Castellano only added more lulz.

Christ, this is exactly like a next gen version of the first level in Tonic Trouble. Ed better be in the game.

Wow, "surprisingly unexpected"
As opposed to something you expect surprising you, or something so expected, it's surprising.

I have to say that they improved the graphics a bit and using the wii board as snowboard or a yak board was a great idea but how much weight can the Wii fit board support?
