Finally a new snowboarding game with actual snowboarders!!! Took long enough for someone to come up with a new snowboard. I'm glad it's Shaun White, he's freakin' awesome!

Winter STARTS with the SOLSTICE which is in December...thus Winter 2008 is correct.

This will have to tide me over until the true successor to SSX3 comes out.
SSX On Tour and SSX Wii were both produced and directed by someone different than the previous SSX titles (namely, SSX3).
I will go out on a limb here and say that SSX3 was one of the, if not *the* most polished videogame I've ever played.
* Amazing soundtrack
* Complete mountain track streaming
* Flawless framerate
* Jaw-dropping amount of extras
* Hilarious DJ (what? I thought he was kinda funny...)
* Great environments
Back to SSX3 for now...

Hear, hear - SSX3 was pretty much a perfect video game. When I think of my favorite games of all time, it doesn't immediately come to mind like some more flashier titles might, but it really is up there for me.
Which made On Tour and Blur all more disappointing. I just hope they are reserving the "SSX4" nomenclature for a true successor.

Gahhhhhh... First Tony Hawk gets a game, now Shaun White. At least the f**king king, Danny Way sort of got a game (skate). Maybe Terje or Peter Line or someone good at something other than winning comps will get a snowboarding game eventually.

SSX all the way. No snowboarding game will ever make me change my ways. If only the developers would get their asses in gear and make another one...very soon! OR even a High Definition version of the greatest tracks of the first three titles, a la wipeout HD.

SSX3 was the game that made me get back in to gaming after years and years of non gaming! Lets face it that Game is PERFECT! Alegra was the shit... I wish they come close to that this winter when there is a new ssx comming out but I doubt it, next gen my ass...
This shaun shmite game looks well ok, like another Amped or whatever... zzzz... Might be like sk8 though and then its good. lets see.

Matt hoffman was like the tony hawk game for bmx tho...i neva played kellys game(surfing right?) Hopefully this ones more like skate (ie. dont need to push triangle to grind for miles vs. i actually gotta line up the grind and land it). Danny Ways skate vids are insane (i luv how he spins on a skate board like forever...who else does that?....no one!)

Perhaps this will encourage EA to break out SSX4 for the PS360. 60fps and 720p please! (on both consoles EA!!!). Perhaps they could stuff some good high def snowboarding videos on the blu-ray for the PS3 version =)

I have to agree with everyone who's wanting a new SSX. Ya know one the doesn't have recycled areas from earlier games? I'm looking forward to SWSB too. SSX is great but i'd love a snowboarding game with a little more realism, sorta like skate was for skateboarding games.
