I must say, I'm not a fan of them using these double-XP weekends to try and force people to buy the DLC

I agree. This is bullshit. I bought the heroic map pack and they did absolutely nothing with that, and it was free in no time at all. I was pissed about that, like so many other people, so of course I didn't buy the Legendary map pack. And now everything requires it.

I use to love Bungie, but now they just suck balls.

3rd that - it's why I've avoided the download. It's disappointing to see Bungie do this, and not flat out admit that they either screwed up by not doing Double XP with Heroic. Yes, Bungie is a for profit company, but come ON!

i know i'm gonna sound like the bad guy here but, come on, its only £10. Maybe $20 is a lot in America, i dunno.

i agree that they should have done more with the Heroic map pack, but oh well - they probably did all this for the Legendary because loads of ppl complained.

btw: i dont think they are gonna make the Legendary MP free.

Well we all know that bungie is there to make money, so if 100,000 people decide to download the leg map pack just to play in the double exp weekend its what, nearly a million £? what would you do? i know as the consumer you're all pissed off - but wouldn't you want that new ivory backscratcher?

Yous guy r teh cheap-ness!!!1

But really, Bungie has said many times that it's MS who makes them charge for the maps; if bungie had it their way, the maps would be free. So don't be angry at Bungie, be angry at MS. But come on, it's $10, if your Halo fan and can't muster up da money's to pay for them, then you shouldn't have an xbox; and if you not buying them based on "principal", then you're only hurting youself because you not going to "get through to" MS" and have them walk away from money.

Just buy the maps; all three are good maps and are well worth the money.

why buy the maps when they'll be free in a few months?

sure M$ imposes the charges, but it's bungie who decides what Double-XP-weekends consist of.

...MS doesn't force Bungie to use the DLC as a requirement for certain game-types; that is all Bungie's doing in an effort to push the Map pack. I personally think it is underhanded and makes them look stupid as they often try to pass the blame of the cost of the maps off as "evil MS's will."

The maps may be cheap but they are just maps. We aren't spending $10 on a full game or additional levels people.

I'd love to play the new gametypes, but I'm fine playing the regular games. I already paid $60 for Halo 2.5 - - I'm not giving them a cent more.
