I wonder if this is because they want to include features theyve witnessed in GTA iv ?? releasing after gta 4 allows u to borrow some concepts - hell why not??

for me SR II is gunna be great !! GTA 4 stripped out alot of cool stuff (custom cars, buyable property - actually things to buy period - 2 hats come on !!???!!) and SR II is looking to include those items, coupled with a great engine - GTA iv could see a major competitor here, but will NEVER get recognized as such since GTA is FAR TOO powerful a BRAND to compete with.

What can I say, GTA 4 was fun, but I'm really looking forward to SR2.

Guess they need more time to steal more things from GTA.

I was really looking for to this one. This is the year of the "2" for me (gears, fable, mercs, and saints).

I could care less about the gansta theme, but the customization was a lot of fun (in the original). And many of the features were good enough for Rockstar to include in their game (the cell phone, the GPS system, being ejected through the windshield, ect...)

EXACTLY - i couldnt agree more - SR had some features that like it or not GTA DID borrow and SR borrowed alot from GTA. SR did move the genre forward; physics engine, awesome graphics (on HD) great explosions and sounds, customization etc etc.

GTA 4 whilst awesome, still has room for improvement as will SR II, for a start i think tht GTA's cars have the edge in terms of coolness over SR - but the customization wins it for me - hopefully we can have lots of buyable cribs not just 2 - 3.

Dont get me wrong - i love GTA always have done, but theres room for 2 and SR's take on the open world game is great !! I hope they add stuff like the mini-games from GTA, a fully fleshed out internet, taxi rides etc...

I just finished GTAIV and let me tell you that game was a chore to play. SR2 is going to be about 100 times more fun I'm sure.

I agree. Dating and activities are a chore... once you've done it once its boring the next few dozen times...

I'm happy to wait a bit longer if it means a better end-product. I loved Saints Row so looking forward to the sequel.

That said, I don't think Stillwater even comes close to the 'realism' of Liberty City, imo. It's a living, breathing world!! (Ok city but you know what I mean.)

It looked great already, and I've got enough to keep me going until then! So I'm fine to wait.

Booo.... I'm sad about this because I was looking forward to playing the crap out of SRII before Gears 2 came out. Sadly, now I wont really be able to.

They can delay it all they want - another Grand Theft Auto won't be out for a long time, and the farther it is away from this release, the better.

What month is the DLC for GTA IV come out? They might not want to release it around that time either.

Hahahaha, I was thinking exactly the same thing. I'm really looking forward to SR2, but if it comes out close to the GTA IV DLC... I'm probably gonna hold off on the purchase until I'm done with GTAIV again.

Right. The DLC. I still think it's great that SR is having at it. Hopefully it'll be as fun.

Alright... GTA4 was great.

I loved the original Saints Row, so I'm going to *have* buy buy SR2.

But what I *really* want... is Crackdown 2.

Please, I'm begging someone, anyone, please make a sequal to Crackdown!

Easily the most insanely fun sandbox game I've played.
