Joke was out of place, stale, and completely unfunny

You get a star for trying, but you lose about fifteen for failing it so hard

I love newcomers. Always flapping at the pie-hole. I was the same way too. *sigh*

Loved the original. Hopefully they can do something INNOVATIVE with the Wiimote instead of the standard waggle constrols.

I'm sure you contradict yourself there.

I honestly wonder if devs/publishers out there have opted or will eventually opt out of spending multi-millions for new games and just make a bunch of WiiWare/XBLA/PSN "shareware-ish games"(a placeholder term til' a better one comes to mind); since it's obviously cheaper and somehow... still profitable.

On second thought in typing that, instead of a 'wonder', it has slowly become a 'worry' in my mind. x_x" I mean, those downloadable games from WiiWare/XBLA/PSN aren't *bad*, but I like playing the epic titles too...

Seeing as we've seen some of the most epic titles ever released in these last few months, that prospect is laughable at best and I find myself wondering why there are so many people out there worried that the quality of games is going to take some sudden shift for the worse

Well... the economy's pretty crappy right now. Last time we were in a situation like this, SEGA released the 32X, Atari had a Jaguar, and the TurboExpress made a quicker exit than its entrance.

Not sure what you're talking about but there are plenty of epic titles coming out for the 360 and PS3...

"I find myself wondering why there are so many people out there worried that the quality of games is going to take some sudden shift for the worse"

I don't necessarily believe it myself but the point is still valid since all of those games were already in production and the consoles already in existence before the corporations saw a living example that you could make more money churning out low budget parts with low budget casual titles with half the effort to boot.

The same could be said about serialized television a few years ago. While shows like American Idol, reality show #47, and lame gameshow #93 were bringing in more money at a fraction of the cost there were still serialized shows, many great and epic ones, all over the place. Those had already been in production or planned out though, and now a few years later since they've had time to really look at the market only a lucky couple survived and there are basically no more on the horizon.

In short, we'd better enjoy Lost and BSG while we can.

Thank god. Stylus control my ass. I'm so sick of touching somewhere on the screen and having the character run to that spot. Just turn the Wiimote on its side and just like the original's NES controls it will be fine.

I'm looking forward to the DS version, but it's good that someone's coming to challenge Madden.

So now EA will aggressively move to purchase Tecmo

But Tecmo's relationship with Nintendo really seems to be bouncing back between this and Fatal Frame IV
