Mad Tracks dev: XBLA delisting not a concern
Xbox Live Arcade title Mad Tracks scored a 63 on Metacritic and has been out for exactly one year, which makes it a candidate for potential delisting, but the developer isn't worried. In an interview with X3F, Load Inc. Business Developer Denis Bourdain said they're not worried about it.
"It was news to us," said Bourdain, later adding, "our conversion rate is much higher than 6%, but Microsoft remains the only one calling the shots. They could delist Mad Tracks - or decide to keep it." He also noted that they were making PC games prior to XBLA and that, "you get removed without notice after 6 months in most stores."
Bourdain also talks about the potential of developing for PSN, his feelings on the Wii, and their upcoming XBLA title Things on Wheels. Check out the full interview here.

I'm not sure what kind of comment game you guys are playing, but I would agree that it looks pretty terrible.

Because Tetris LOOKS like so much fun...
I'm glad all of the XBLA games have trials. I don't have to worry about a review from people who have different tastes than I do. ALthough it's still possible to make a bad demo of the game.

See, but he brings up a good point. Microsoft is the one calling the shots. If developers don't like it, they'll simply go to Nintendo and Sony.
And here's another point, developers have hits and misses. Just because a game is so-so now doesn't mean they're next release will also be so-so. If memory serves, the people that made Little Big Planet previously made a game for the original Xbox that was just so-so.

These comments are terrible!

I bought it, it sucks, but it still shouldn't be delisted. They should make a seperate section for older games, but nothing should ever be delisted. There's simply no reason for that.

Anyone want to send me back the 12 bucks I spent on this a few months ago? It would really help me out.

I agree that they should NEVER delist games. One of the most annoying things about game shops (and why i stopped buying pc games there) is that they dump all the games after about 6 months... a lot of games take a while to gain a reputation.. or it takes a while to upgrade your pc... or sometimes you just feel the urge to play an ancient game. Then the only option is abandonware sites.
Shift it to an old section, and make the navigation easier if its too muddled now, but don't start deleting things.
(half the games I buy off steam are old games like longest journey, painkiller, etc..)
