Hey Dave, seriously, you sound like a real jerk with your posts busting on 360 users and achievements. How did you become so much better than the rest of us?

If you are so much cooler and dont need to impress people with trophies then you won't have to worry about them, or the lack of them, appearing in your profile.

I found that achievements helped me get rid of my addiction to using cheat codes. I haven't used a single one while playing GTA4 so far, eventually on a 2nd play through I will cheat to have some fun.

Addiction to gamerscore is more productive than cheating IMO.

Sony played h.264 files first. MS copied them. Sony did Eye Toy... MS copied them. Sony did online play first (SSX3, etc.) on PS2, MS copied them (and improved it greatly). Sony put two analogs sticks on a controller. MS copied them.

MS copied a lot of stuff off Sony. Deal with the pain.

M$ copied Sony on the making consoles tip. Get over it son.

I call bullshit. The Sega Saturn and the Sega Dreamcast BOTH had online/multiplayer, long before the PS2 was released my friend. ;)

I think there was also a 3rd party modem for the SNES if memory serves. Either way, Sony was WAAAAAAAAAY late to that particular party, let's not revise history, yeah?

At the end of the day... welcome to business, at one time or another everyone in the game has taken inspiration from someone else's work. Someone ALWAYS has to come first, and for those that want to remain competitive, it usually means duplicating some of your competitors' innovations. At the end of the day what matters isn't who created what first, it's who does the best job of implementing/integrating the feature?

Saturn didn't have online play, Dreamcast did. Before Sony.

A modem isn't the same as online (internet) play, the XBand system (the third party modem you talk of for SNES/Genesis) was direct dial-up consoles to console, as was the derived system for Saturn. About a half-dozen of my friends worked at Catapult on XBand.

Problem as I see it is that he's a person and the PS3 is a machine. Him busting on it is an annoyance to you, but doesn't stop you from using and enjoying it. You calling him names is more than an annoyance.

Personally attacking him as a failure in life is entirely uncool when he doesn't say such thngs about other people. I see people like Name123 who call people names, swear and are filled with hate for all others, I don't see that in Fernando.

Well said, NATO. The ambiguity of the internet really does seem to cause many posters to reduce people to lifeless entities when that's just not the case.

I have no problem with what he posts and where he does it. However if hes going to be a one beat drummer and criticize the same thing over in troll like fashion then hes going to have to take the heat when dished back. Its obviously trolling at its worse, as someone else has mentioned, can he ever say anything constructive or positive? Or is it he appears only in PS3 articles to spew an agenda....WHICH IS FINE mind you. Just deal with the fact that people who own the PS3 and look forward to supporting their purchase might see Fernando as attacking their purchase and therefore see it as a criticism on them. Now it might become a personal matter for that person. So just as he has the right to attack what he wants, so should they have the ability to say something back

Is he being mindful to the developers that are putting in thousands of hours into these games? No, he wants them and their games to fail because they are not on his chosen consoles. That's about as bad a fanboy as there can be.

Fernando is filled with hate towards the games, developers, and fans of anything Sony. When he shits up thread after thread that is Sony related is he at all concerned with the fans that like to read those threads? No. Just because he doesn't call people on here names doesn't make him any different than trolls like Name123.

cc123, I see what you are saying, but i can't agree that because he has a problem with some games or Sony, that he is suddenly open to comments like he often gets.

His hate for Sony doesn't seem the same as contempt for people in my book. Yeah, I don't share his ill will for some consoles, and it makes no sense to me, but he's an alright guy from my experience, who shys away from calling anyone 4 letter words and the like - in fact, he seems to limit himself from talking about people as a whole doesn't he? Hell, he doesn't even get as mad as I do when some of these people start calling others names and such.

Talking sh*t about a machine is, like I said, totally different than just talking sh*t about a person.

Nato, i dont think when people use curse words it means they are foaming at the mouth pounding on the keyboards when typing a response. I dont think people should abuse other people on this board or any other board for that matter....however,

i feel he gets his kicks off of it. Its definitely a pattern forming with his posts especially on PS3 threads. I wouldnt know him as a "good guy" (thought he was a 14 year old) because i dont look at threads that dont pertain to my interest. PS3 pertains to my interest 90% of the time, and if that article is positive or negative, i have noticed he is there to give his agenda. He has that right tho.

The point i think you are missing, is that it often can ruin a discussion or gathering of opinions when he comes with the same ole bullshit. It gets some people riled up because its a continuous thing, its even expected now. Then the topic, like this thread turns to him and is unreadable. Again, i think he gets a kick out of riling some people up. Its his right to do it, but dont mask it with, well its not people its a product hes talking about. People invest time, money and their lives into gaming, and i think some people take his constant troll like behavior as a slap at them.....well all im saying is they have the right to slap back then.

This is just what im noticing in my short time on this website.

I understand what you're saying but what I don't get is how you guys expect people to react to him.

Sometimes it feels like Fernando is the annoying child of someone you know. You have to keep your mouth shut while the kid runs a muck. And it seems like the people on here that have a sweet spot for him expect those of us that don't to just smile and look the other way.

So how to deal with Fernando...There is no ignore feature here so that's out. You can't avoid his comments because they're everywhere. There usually is no rational or logical response to most of his trolling so trying to have a discussion with him is pointless. If he hasn't been permanently banned by now he's never going to be. So my question to you is how should we deal with his never ending nonsense?

And please don't say ignore him cause we both know that will never happen.
