I don't know really, Sony has done many memorable ads (I MISS YOU MR CHOROMATSU!!) before, its just that the last few years the PS department has been sucking at it (more so on the ones that focus on the device itself, there have been good ads for games)

Since I’m very bored and I’m still working or at least I should be working a personal review of those ads. Feel free to ignore it.
1-The golfers vs pornstars ad.
I don't see anything wrong about being attacked by 3 female porn stars unless they are zombies or had a venereal disease. You have to feel sorry for the poor guy attacked by Fabio, dead by surprise buttsecks is probably one o f the worst top 10 ways to die.
2-Passion of the PlayStation
So what does that means the PS is as fun as being killed in a biblical way?
This is probably too much for me. Maybe is too deep or too dumb but someone is going to hell for that ad.
3-The perplexity of UK PSP ads
I don’t know if it is sexist, hell I don’t what it means or what does it have in common with the PSP or PS brand but I’ll tell you what it was, it was stupid.
4-PSP - Graffiti fiasco
Well this is probably what fueled all those years of Bad PSP Marketing: A mix of hate and acid tablets. Again the PSP is one great Handheld, hell it sold even with these stupid ads if that isn’t prove enough I don’t know what it is.
5-City of Lost PlayStation Commercial* Fixed
Oh well it seems Sony marketing history with drug abuse didn’t started with he PSP. Good to know.
6-PS3 - "Mama" Play Beyond commercial* Fixed

We are by the end and I don’t see the dustballs or the squirrels anywhere so I’m going to put this all together.
Sony you racist bastards. I’m surprised you didn’t make an ad with some skin head beating up a woman and the black guy announcing the God of War PSP.
10. PSP - "All I want for Xmas is a PSP" Flog
Oh I remember this one, this was the reason I didn’t wanted to go in System wars for a while and made me ashamed of being a PSP owner.
Honestly I don’t know if this was the worst,I was more offended by the Dustballs.
This was a stupid and desperate attempt to gain the public attention and probably someone was fired for this. The cherry on the top of this sh*t sundae was the SCEA message confirming that they not only did it but that they thought it was fresh…fresh huh anyone says this word anymore? is like someone’s Grandpa trying to be hip or a dad in despair trying to convince his son of not using drugs or some of those guess rappers that go into public school convincing kids they should stay in school.
Sony looked weak and the worst they offended their fans. At this point in time they should understand better their public I mean yeah a lot of companies tried this sort of publicity to attract the younger demographic but they’ve always failed. anyone remembers those Play it loud ads?

I like Sony's ads, they're funny and slightly satirical.
I thought the PSP "racist" ads were funny too. Anyone who didn't is a racist. Supporting Barack Obama for the country's first token black president is more racist than Sony's ads. So is having Tracy Morgan on 30 Rock as the token black character.

lol, that's a bit extreme. I didn't find them funny but that doesn't mean I wasn't offended by them. It definitely doesn't mean I'm racist.
As for Obama... I agree that it's not great to vote for someone because they're black, because they're a woman, or because they're white (or whatever). But I think someone would justify it by arguing that before we can arrive at a truly 'post-racial' society (devoid of race as a consideration in anyone's mind) people need to get used to the idea of black people being able to fill the same jobs as white people. And the highest job in the US is the President. So even if it is 'positive descrimination', the end could justify the means.

Of course everyone conveniently forgets about them and only focuses on the white on black pic.

What I never got my head around is the fact use some of the best adverts ever made for their other products. I mean it's hard to find anyone who dislikes a Bravia ad. I mean who can hate plasticine bunnies?

The "penis-thumb" ad was confirmed fake by just about every other gaming news site/blog. Why did you guys include it in your list? It wasn't even produced by Sony or any of their ad agencies, IIRC.
