Too Human video explains co-op mode

Microsoft just sent out a press release stating that a video showcasing Too Human's co-op mode is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Silicon Knights' president, Denis Dyack, and design director, Henry Sterchi, host the video and explain how the four-player two-player co-op will work.

The Silicon Knights intro is so fricken sweet! I switched to the HD version on GT and you just get a huge epic vibe from it all. I agree Cyro I hope this game does well and ends up as another must have for 360.

Considering how long it took to make, the lawsuits, the terrible artwork, repetitive and shallow looking gameplay, and the fact that you and Fenix don't exactly fall on the "Smart" half of the intelligence spectrum, I'd say the chances of it being anything more than mediocre are slim.

The common sense part of my brain wants to say something about this game being like Haze for the 360 - all hype and no delivery.
I hope that's not the case though, as the game's been in production for a long time, and it looks like it could be some fun if they pull it off right.

I think this game is going to get very old and very repetitive very fast. I came to that conclusion once I heard all you do for combat is just the right stick in whatever direction your enemy is. A casual's wet dream perhaps?

Funny you should say that, as one a recent 1UP Yours podcast, one of the guys who played it said it was the game that Hellgate wanted to be.

Hellgate is from the creators of the Epic game Diablo but Hellgate didn't worked as they expected but if this delivers is a must buy for me.
I'm hyped now so you better deliver Silicon Knights.

Game looks absolutely awesome. Can't wait to play it. As for the latter half of the video, it was... odd. But that's not to say it was bad. I liked it and thought it put a nice story-esque feature to the mythology behind the game.

I'm sort of hoping this game succeeds. I actually know two of the guys on the development team and they are pretty talented.I know they've busted their butts on this thing.
They've never gotten into details about the difficulties facing development, but I'm hoping all the best for them.

Joystiq, your new advertising techniques are making me want to hunt hummingbirds...
I really want Too Human to be good, but it just feels like it will flop to me.

I respect the Wildlife but these ads are really making me wanna kill animals especially hummingbirds but there aren't any sings of wildlife here so I'll have to stick with the old safe and sane Manhunt.

Yes, Joystiq, please remove those ads...expecially considering half the time it loads them at the wrong panel frame and you have to scorll up to find it.
Asd for Too Human, the game looks, nice, but overall it doesn't look to offer anything new or inovative...just more of the same. It looks like an DMC or other action game with addition RPG elements and co-op.

Lol,the T-rex from Toy story.That's always a 1+.
Well it looks like a combination between Mass effect and Devil May Cry. The reset the ability tree thing over there is always a good idea since when you start you'll always screw up your character unless you are an expert in building classes. I remember I screwed up my Cleric the first time I played Never winter nights but the second time my build was so effing good I pwned online.
In Guildwars you can also reset your character basically you can change an elemental from a nuker to a tank depending on your spells. Something I liked about guildwars was the pokémon system. That means you have to capture all the spells instead of learning them too bad the game was so slow and getting a party online was a b*tch.I remember I passed the game with pure mercenaries oh and the Hero system was broken, with heroes the only missions you couldn’t pass were the last ones in Nightfall.

I played Guild Wars for a good 2.5 years, with a few breaks in there. Have like 3,000 hours or something put into it. But about a month ago it just lost the spark for me. Anet forgot their initial goal of "skill not grind."
I do have hopes for GW2, but we will see...

It´s interesting how he didn´t mention that in co-op mode you will have no story and no cutscenes.

I love the humming bird comments, I'm using Safari at work (I don't know why really...) and I don't see them. But, the death threats are entertaining.
I played Too Human a few years back at E3 and I enjoyed it a lot. Of course I've been watching the delays and changes and those had me worried. However, I believe those fears are slightly quelled and I'll pick it up. I'm very much excited again.

Any game whose viral marketing mentions the collective unconscious is a day 1 buy for me. That's a good sign that whoever is writing the story knows their shit.

My favorite games are mutliplayer dungeon crawlers such as Champions of Norratah and Diablo. They might not be the best at telling a story, showcasing the newest graphics, etc, but they are so damn fun.
I pray that Too Human continues this tradition...

You and me both, brother. I played the hell out of Diablo II on PC (of course) and Champions of Norrath on PS2. Probably two of my favorite games.
I love being able to collect loot and play with my friends, and the hours upon hours of the same old doesn't get old for me. I'd play Too Human over MGS4/Fallout3 all of the Triple A's.
Just my personal opinion.

I'm just hopeful that the developers will decide to port it to either PS3 or PC in a reasonable amount of time. Doesn't matter which platform, just one of them.

It's being produced by Microsoft so a PS3 port is out of the question, but a possible PC port in the future isn't too far-fetched.

I am a true believer in Too Human and in Silicon Knights in general. That is because i have followed their history way back, and been reading as much as I have been able to through out the days. Dennis Dyack has a lot of very interesting thoughts and ideas. He and his "guild" has put more effort in to Too Human than any of you can imagine. Well, atleast i cant.
When I read all the nej-sayers comments on Too Human, I always come to the conclusion that they dont know shit. Neither about Too Human nor about creating games. People keep talking about graphics as it is something that define a good game. For me it doeasnt.
I still think many old games comes with an experience that is unrivaled in terms of feeling. You people who judge games by graphics and stylish blah dont know what you are missing out on. I bet you are the same kind of folks that choose to ignore people that are not beautiful. The day you realise that there are so much more in life, you will problary be so fucked up inside by the opinions inplanted in you, that its too late for you to think of your own.
I am convinced that Too Human will be a wonderful game with a lot of depth and with story telling so rich that you will keep caring about it, even when you are not playing.
But thats just me.

Game looks pretty rad, it's come a long way. I was pretty skeptical at first, it seemed overambitious, and the animations were pretty crap, but this looks like a deep and really fun game, and the coop looks to be a worthy addition. While this game had fallen off my list before, now I am anxious for it to come out, and I'll be picking it up for sure.
