After playing a few hours of his pre-release copy of Ninja Gaiden II (come one Microsoft, where's our love?), Godfree of Gamertag Radio found a shiny Xbox Easter egg. Hidden behind some wood paneling is what looks to be the prototype for the original Xbox, the shiny metallic box that never came into existence and was instead replaced by the big black Xbox we've all come to know and love.

Well, that is also the design of the ship gift that the original Xbox team got for releasing the console.

Hey cool, that thing was in Ninja Gaiden Black too. It appears to be pretty useless this time around since you can't visit it at any time and it doesn't refill your ninpo.

You n00bs! :-)
It was in the very first version on NG, in some alley-way across from the bar in the city (no idea what the names are). It refilled your ninpo and health, which made it perfect for saving up essence for all the weapon upgrades later in the game.
Good to see the developers have a sense of humour.

Bit out of place isn't it?
Imagine seeing that in old age Japan, I'd be like WTF is that? An alien space craft?
