Hey cool, that thing was in Ninja Gaiden Black too. It appears to be pretty useless this time around since you can't visit it at any time and it doesn't refill your ninpo.

It was in the very first version on NG, in some alley-way across from the bar in the city (no idea what the names are). It refilled your ninpo and health, which made it perfect for saving up essence for all the weapon upgrades later in the game.

Good to see the developers have a sense of humour.

That's not a prototype that was rejected but rather more of a symbol for what the Xbox represented, which was that it was the [direct]Xbox. It was never meant to be a serious contender for the final design of the original Xbox.

Is the series set in ancient Japan now? I haven't read anything about the storyline in #2... the first one was set in modern Japan however...
