A genuinely funny game pulled off well (gameplay-wise) is always a good thing.

I was thinking more-or-less the same thing. For some reason reminds me of a less dark MDK.

The wii needs to keep on rolling with excellent platformers...cut out the wiggle waggle make ur own pizza and cut down ur tree waggle lumberjacks crap...

The wii can definitely corner the market on platformers...no other system is really rocking out the genre anymore, save for a few regurgitated franchises...

I can't wait to see how quickly fanboys write this game off as generic kiddy crap. The worst part is I am actually referring to the Wii fanboys who think that the Wii should be a 360 it is its own beast and if this game plays to its strengths then good on them.

On the PS3 fanboy side they will also condemn it even though the same concept reveled for the PS3 it would be the second coming of Ratchet.

I plan to wait and see how the game will play and make my judgments at the end.

Actually, the PS3 *could* use this game. The Ratchet series (even as good as the last one was) is getting a bit worn, with one coming out almost every year. It'd be nice to give the franchise a little break. I waited 3 years to find out the fate of Master Chief, I can easily wait at least that long to find out what happens to Clank.

Hunter, why is it people predicting fanboy behaviors often show up long before what they predicted? Are you this sad, looking for conspiracy theories among the console warriors. Beware the cigarette smoking man.

baby sea tuna, I'd agree with you on the Ratchets except they do keep getting better and the cliffhangar at the end of the last one leaves me wanting more. As long as the quality doesn't suffer due to annualization, I see no problem. But R&C seems to be switching from a once a year to a once every two years. I think once Insomniac got their second franchise in the pipeline (Resistance 2), it allowed them to take longer breaks with R&C. Doesn't Insomniac also have a third unannounced IP they are working on as well?

I'm not writing this off as generic or for kids at all, but if by "thinks it should be a 360" you mean violent type games, then it's worth noting that the two RE titles have sold over a million copies each on the Wii.
To me that suggests that, like the PS2, the console could effectively hit all the bases, even if it doesn't have the best of the best games in some genres (like shooters, potentially).

That's because for the most part, it's true.

The Wii fanboys are already dismissing this game and cursing Capcom. Some are even comparing Capcom to Ubisoft at this point. WTF?

And the sad thing is that this is an original game for the Wii. Not some lame PS2 port or anything like that, so it has the potential to be a really good Wii game...but I'm sure most of the Wii fans complaining about it would be happier with a watered-down port of Street Fighter IV or RE5...

Well at least is something new but reminds me of those 3D cartoons in Jetix and Cartoon network that I never finished watching because I was sick of them after 10 minutes.

It looks okay.
