I'm even to overlook the cutesy Neopet stuff for a good "Puzzle Questification", but from the screenshots it looks like it's based on some sort of Othello gameplay (blech!).

This may actually work for those who want to introduce kids to Puzzle Quest...

I was super excited for puzzle quest. Then it actually came out on Wii. Seriously, I didn't play the other versions, but the one on Wii had glaring issues. Namely, the fact that in order to read any of the games' text (and there seemed to be a lot of it in the short time I tried to play the game), I had to be about 1 foot away from my tv screen. And even then, I still couldn't read most of it. First time that's ever happened to me in my 20+ years of gaming. It wasn't just me, either. There is no excuse for such a terrible, game ruining mistake. They can stick with Neopets for all I care, I'll never buy another game from them again.

This was on a 32" SDTV that has always had a decent picture, in case anyone was wondering.

Unfortunately, most game testing anymore is done on HDTVs. Granted, the Wii can only output up to 480p, but it's still considered high definition. I feel your pain. I can barely read the caption text in Burnout Paradise for the 360 on my SDTV.
