great game people with ds should get it.
also hopefully this will prove that new creative things are just as profitable.

Well, new creative things with a huge established company name behind them, at least.

(I don't disagree with you, but I do wonder if a smaller outfit with a similar project would enjoy similar success.)

Sabrecat, but it bombed in Japan.

We'll see how Black Sigil fares when it hits in July.

This game is very good. Highly recommended.

Square Enix is developing another DS game called Sigma Harmonics... hope it can match this game.

Now, where's my Final Fantasy VI remake? I want to see those Magitek in 3D.

=p

And then Square Enix realized that people wanted new IPs instead of remakes of remakes of remakes of 20 year old games.
And we all lived happily ever after.

There are some games that deserve a remake.

The Dragon Quest games remakes is a good thing, I haven't played Dragon Quest V... and a Super Mario RPG for the DS would be nice too.

Amen to that! So much creativity gets wasted on endless remakes and spinoffs. Not that I don't like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, but I also love seeing something new every once in awhile (like TWEWY, which is fantastic).

I'm going to make it a point to buy this, just to see what all the fuss is about.

I bet that S-E exec who said that his employees "need to stop making games only they want to play" is shivering for warmth in the spacious cardboard box he now calls home. If not, he'd better be. S-E is a "core" game producer, and there's quite a bit of overlap between the kinds of games programmers want to play and the kinds of games the traditional S-E fan wants to play. As in, they're exactly the same.

TWEWY is short but fun. I hope that you folks get a chance to enjoy it.

The gameplay of this one is quite intriguing, but the art style reminds me just how stupid and lame kids are these days.

It was on sale for 30 at Circuit City and Amazon a few weeks ago. May happen again.

Yeah, waiting for the price drop/sale/used copy here.

This is Squeenix we're talking about; most of their recent games are readily available even years after release. I don't expect this one to buck the trend, especially given how well it's sold.

I had a hard time finding it. No Gamestops had it, but we walked into a Game City 360 in the area (Cincinnati) and they had them in stock, so it was just luck I found one.

Even though it was 39.99 at my local Circuit City, I think it was worth every penny. Game is too good to pass up.

On one hand, it's a fantastic game, and I'm glad that the game buying populace is appreciating that. On the other hand, I'm annoyed that this may validate Square-Enix's sense of entitlement to charge more for their DS games than everybody else.

If anyone hasnt notice all Square-Enix games for the DS are 39.99. Why that is I dont know. Regardless, I had lost a little bit of faith in Square-Enix games ever since Final Fantasy XI. After playing The World Ends with you and Final Fantasy XII for the DS, I see now that they still have what it takes to come up with unique game play that works and is really enjoyable.

I've also had difficulty finding a copy at any of my local game retailing haunts. Hopefully, this equates to some measure of sales success. This is a game that has taken word of mouth(interntet mouths?) to generate interest despite positive reviews and a point against games having to sell well within their first week to be successful... much like the steam building up around Lost odyssey lately, a game that reviewed averagely, but word is spreading around the community months after its release, that wait..this game is actually pretty good and worth buying.

Weird, I found a used copy the week after this came out (someone clearly stole it and sold it for profit). This game rules though, best original sqeenix IP I've played in a while.
