Some PS3 fans were angry at Capcom when they announced Commando 3 on XBLA will include a free beta for Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix ... but not on PSN. In Capcom's attempt to prove their loyalty to the PlayStation community, they're releasing Commando 3 on PSN one week before the XBLA version. That means ... today.
With the addition of Commando 3 to today's lineup, this is going to be one of the best (and most expensive) Store updates ever. The downloadable title will be available for $10 when it launches in but a few hours.
Also, Capcom's John Diamonon promises PlayStation fans that there will be some "cool stuff" for PlayStation fans of Street Fighter. What that entails, we don't know quite yet ... but it may very well be the key to earning some street cred amongst PS3 fans (read: this bonus better not be another port of Lost Planet).

Im still kinda disappointed about the beta. I mean seriously, why would they do a beta on the 360, when 99% of fighting game fans use PS3?

Agreed. The 360 D-Pad is going to be awful for a 2D fighter.

I might've considered Commando 3 if we would've gotten the SF beta. Since we won't be getting the SF beta, I have zero interest.

oh and you know maybe Qure shoudl have the SF2 beta.. and piss off even more people!

I don't understand all the hate being directed at Qure. Magazines don't sell anymore and at least you don't have to subscribe to it to play multiplayer games online.

That hate is that people, along with myself, feel that w/ Qore they will delay content that should be on the PSN for free (like it has always been), in order to make purchasing a PS3 even easier for those on the fense (myself included). This is where all the "hate" is coming from. Let the magazines do their thing (game magazines are not going away, sorry) and let Sony provide more content that should be there for free to help rival XBL.
That's my opinion on it.

Joy another top down shooter to add to the endless wave of top-down shooters from the PSN. Seriously guys just get Super Stardust HD which is the best of them and be done with it. It towers over anything I've seen in this game.

This is a completely different game from Super Stardust and the rest of what people have come to call dual analog shooters. This is a top down 2D shooter. Most notable is the fact that you actually move around a map with obstacles and enemies, instead of just trying to dodge asteroids. I know SSHD has some enemies, but mostly it's asteroids (I like it, don't get me wrong.... just saying this is different.... and looks good to me).
I've been wanting something like this for the PSN ever since I got the PS3. Can't wait.

Chances are that the SF bonus may be a theme or some PS1 SF game (probably Alpha). in any case, we'll see.

What the hell you talking about? PSN team promises on PSN Blog to compete with Qore team (Future US publisher) on delivering demos/ Beta you can still get in the old fashion way (kiss ass on Socom.com) or get in via Quore.
No-one is going to have to wait for anything, Quore team is going to get "EXCLUSIVE" demos you can't get on PSN or Xbox 360 for a timed period because Quore will secure these exclusives by paying developers to get first dibs on them for a limited time.

I want to finally retire my PS2 but the only thing keeping it around is my Street Fighter Anniversary edition with my SF Anniversary control pads. I can't play Puzzle fighter on my PS2 anymore because the PS3 version's better and has the "hold up to drop fast" ability. Once SF HD rolls out, I hope to finally get rid of my PS2.
