Meh >_< Not bad new for me, I had no intention on buying this game for my consoles anywho, PC and RTS are best friends, like a man and his dog, why use cumbersome analogue when you can use the mouse ;)

Ye, I could have bought keyboard and mouse for PS3 ¬_¬ I know that, but thats still gay, spending more money for 1 game.

You should ask FPS players why they play on xbox360 instead of a comp !

Why ask them? Why not just ask myself? I have a 360 -_-"

Besides, I'm not talking about FPS, FPS games have gotten better on consoles over the years, I still prefer the ease of use that PC offers, but I still enjoy FPS titles on both 360 and PS3. Not JUST 360. Despite the fact I am bored of FPS titles.

After playing Triberium, I still don't like RTS on consoles, its those days of playing C&C, Dark Reign, Age of Empires, Ground Control and Homeworld on my pc that has made me appreciate my PC more for the experinces, rather then the annoyance of playing with the analogue I had when attempting to attack enemies in Triberium.

Me + Consoles + RTS = Disaster >_

Besides, I have played Populous on PC, PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3, yup, same game, lol (don't care what you think, I love that game, and can play it over and over again) and PC was by far the best experince I've had :)

Same, but if Civ revolutions is a step forward from Civ IV in any way I'll be sorely tempted.

These threads are starting to kill me. If only everyone would just take a step back and take a look. If there is negative platform news, it's probably for a reason.

Facts on PS3 (yes FACTS):
PS3 has a slower GPU than 360
PS3 has SEVERE memory limitations
SPUs are limited in capability

Unless a title is built for the PS3, it's not a good thing. I see so many wannabe developers and programmers that love to spout off "lazy developers". I have nothing to say to people calling "lazy developers". You obviously have no idea what it takes to put a game out or you would never make such a comment.

If developers are having trouble with the PS3, it couldn't POSSIBLY be that Sony made some BS decisions that hurt development, could it? When titles are getting canceled and delayed, it couldn't POSSIBLY have anything to due with their hardware decisions, could it? Wake up.

Oh yeah, and MS messed up plenty themselves so don't get me started on that. They just screwed over the consumer with hardware choices instead of developers.

Also, your favorite console sucks! I gotta get back to work.

dustandechos91,

You call a bunch of ps3 fanboys bitchin "constructive", especially when they are all saying the same thing? I can't stand sony fanboys.

I'm a 360 fanboy, all the way, but i'm not a fool, its just what I prefer. I'm a gamer first and have been gaming over 20 years now and have had pretty much everything that hit our shores, until now.

I have a 360 and love it. The idea that a fanboy is a bad thing is a recent thing, back in the day a fanboy was just that, a fan of a specific game, console whatever. What you should be calling the people who you are referring to that dwell in all camps are fools, for that is what they are.

If i'm going to buy and rts, i'm buying it on console as I don't like pc gaming. Its' to expensive for one and I like the idea of plug and play on equal hardware. Just because they havent' been able to do it as well as it has been done on pc doesn't mean they should be mocked for the effort so get over yourself about what system people prefer to play something on.

My guess is EA knows were they money is, and it's not on the ps3 as of now. Will it change in the future, sure, but don't expect anything dramatic. Why put money into developing a game on a system that doesn't sell games, at least compared in quantities that it's neariest competitions does.

Earlier it was said that it was because of laziness. Really? Everyday shooter I guarantee, does not need as much time, effort, manpower and money to create and implement as a game such as this does, so your point is rendered moot. Do some of you even think before you post before you start going on with this X-files conspircacy theory crap. Yeah Peter Moore went to EA, but it makes since on 2 fronts. One its smart for MS to get one of there own in their and get buddy buddy as any SMART corportation in a multi-billion dollar industry would do and second he was in the sports field before MS, so it's a natural field for him.

What, you think Sony wouldn't do it if they could? give me a break. Why do you think Square won't do a real FF game on 360? You don't think it has anything to do with there Sony ties. Again, were getting rpg's from Square but the series that we all want isn't happening, I wonder why.

In conclussion, it allways seems the real "fanboys" are the ones who bitch and moan the most about fanboys to begain with, all the while doing the exact samething they are complaining about. Yeah im a fanboy, a fanboy of gaming, in particular the 360. When Sony gives me a reason to buy a ps3 as I buy a gaming system first and foremost for games not movies (looking at you Killzone2 and FF and whatever the ICO team is working on) then we can talk. But for such a powerful system and all the shit talking they've done i'm not impressed. Besides getting kicked in the nuts by Nintendo and MS showing them they can put up a good fight, Sony has alot to prove before this gamer bites. It's a shame really, I enjoyed my ps2 and it's the first time in my life that I haven't not only owned a console, but really don't want it, at least not until much later when hopefully they have there shit together. I'll get a wii soon for it has unique thing going all it's own with quality titles but IMO the ps3 is a "me too" system compared to my 360 and not a good one at that. Yeah it plays blu-ray movies. Great. If I want to watch a movie, I usually download one off of XBL, but again I buy a system for games, not movie player formats and sony doens't have the games. I'm not a metal gear fan at all, so the next time they get my interest will be for Killzone 2 or FF, hopefully by then they'll have their shit together.

Reminds of the 90's when Nintendo was king and everyone thought they couldn't be topped, until Sony came along with the ps1. Looks like history does repeat itself afterall...

ya have fun buying a piece of shit beta hardware every 6 months. I'll be playing MSG4 and Bioshock (the non beta edition). The fact that Xbox 360 fanboys get fed spoonfuls of shit by M$ and beta test their hardware that went through almost zero QA process. Ya keep it up, keep gulping down those lovin spoonfuls and smiling and asking for more? let me guess, you bought the Zune too? Did you beta test that piece of shit for M$ as well? GO take your Xbox magazine and masturbate in the bathroom. Jackass.

why is anyone surprised. Its very easy to port a PC game that uses directx to 360 which uses a special version of directx. Instead of just change around and remapping controls. changing a few API's and what not they would have to rebuild most of the modules the game uses for the PS3, way too much work. So they concentrate their time and effort on one system ( directX). I am not surprised, i love C&C but i wont buy it for my 360, hell i will probably play it but not buy it for PC either.

I say once again: Ha ha PS3. Ha ha.

But on a more serious note, I doubt I'm gonna buy this game period, let alone on a console. After how EA repeatedly raped(and continues it with KW) CNC3 with its patches(Seriously, why no defensive buildings on the cranes?), I have a feeling this game is gonna start out at least decent, and then get progressivly worse with each patch. Never have I enjoyed a game less as it got patched.

The issue is that the current programming staff there is confounded by the PS3's architecture. They don't have the "chops" to code the game for the ps3. So like valve, they are shying away from it. These are the developers that will be left behind in the next generation. Multithread coding is not going away, its time for the marginal coders to leanr or get out of the industry. Thats why guys like Gabe "I can't stop eating cheeseburgers" Newell is crying about how he hates the PS3 architecture so bad. Hes trying to hold on to traditional programming standards and cannot cope with the future.
