The demo on the JP store has a tendency to crash and cause the system to hang, that's probably why it was delayed for the US. It's greatly improved over the 360 version from what I saw and I'll probably be picking it up when it's released here.

An awesome idea selling this from the PSN at a lower than retail price. Even if the game is only above average, it'll be panned as a great downloadable title.

I didn't have any bugs when I played the Jap Demo.... I thought it was pretty good. I liked the racing and the weapons. But the car selection did seem like it was going to turn out weak. I think the splash screens said there'd be 3 different cars total?

I must say though, this is the first racing game I played where I actually felt like the car was floating... not tethered to the ground arbitrarily like F-Zero or Wipeout. I think it could be really fun.

I beg to differ. Even though I am not a fan of Fatal Inertia but more of WipEout, you can't say that Fi is the same as W'O" or F-Zero or any other racers of the same genre. Like the poster above you said the floatiness of Fi makes it different, and in that respect much better than all other racers (Except WipEout in it's PS1 days where floatiness was still part of the game). Sadly, the rest of the game isn't really as good, and especially on X-Box 360 it was very bad. This has improved however and it might turn out to be a solid PSN title. Although I will still get WipEout HD over it.
