I'll probably just send the game to my brother and get it back after he's done since there is no hurry.

I wish I cared... seriously I got bored with the game after they wanted me to do all these bullshit boring missions. Plus the money is worthless, you never really seem to move up in the game. Still live in a shitty appartment when you have 200 grand in the bank account.

Agreed, this game was disappointing on so many levels. Mostly just how boring/frustrating the gameplay was.

Not sure why it got such great reviews other than just being a next-gen GTA.

I'm more looking forward to shooting pedestrians with sewage with a friend in Saints Row 2.

I couldn't agree with both of you more. I'm selling my copy asap, just bored as hell with it. Saints Row 2 is gonna rip this apart.

Fourthed. Auto-playing anything is annoying, especially when you are, say, listening to a podcast and browsing, and suddenly sound comes from somewhere and interrupts the podcast listening, so then you have to find the source of the sound and stop it, at which point you find out it's coming from an auto-play video from X360f, and then you scream "GAHHHH!!!!" at the top of your lungs until you close the video and return to your podcast....

or something like that....

Hey what ever time they need to put out good DLC, they delayed the main game and it was amazing, even though cited for PS3 reasons it probably helped with 360 version. I don't think there's really been a case where delaying a game didn't help it get better....Sonic06's PS3 version doesn't count...so I bet this game's dlc can only benifit from this.

That's lame. Firstly because interest has dropped for the game anyway, it's already down to number three in the XBL chart. Secondly, there's loads of games coming out around that time (i.e GoW2 to name one),so who will want to revisit Liberty City then? And thirdly has anyone seen Saints Row 2? Looks like they're making it everything GTAIV isn't. So Rockstar better have something very special to deliver come November ...

All games except Halo and CoD tend to die after a month or two. It's a shame though because GTA was a good game.

Before you make a comment, which is barely in English, where you try to come across as funny (and failing miserably by the way), at least make sure you have a vague understanding of what the original comment was about...

As long as the DLC is substantial then I think it'll do well.

But if it's nothing more than some new clothes and a new gamerpic then they can shove it right up their arses.

I don't think I need to worry though. They'll deliver.

An extra month or two to wait, that's fine as long as they make it worth waiting for. If it's just a few more samey missions in the existing city, I don't think I can be bothered with that - let's have a new island, or some more varied missions. For instance, remember the mission in Vice City where you had to steal the tank from the army convoy? Or the RC missions in San Andreas (sure they were hella annoying, but at least it was different)?

You've got to believe that they'll try to get this out by December, to give it a Christmas sales boost.

Yes, I have full confidence in the fact that Rockstar will deliver the goods in a big way when it does.

Until then, hell..they could postpone the GTA IV DLC stuff until January for all I care. Let's NOT rush the content out the door before the deluge of games hit the shelves.

Instead, let's give GTA IV it's own glory day to do it's thing away from the spotlight of other titles well after the Holidays. We can assume the DLC at MOST could be $30 (most likely $20...totally NOT going to be free), and that's a substantial less cost than a retail disc of any full game. Gamers will have waited with bated breath all season for the DLC and will gladly shell out some bucks from Grandma.

I mean, if you were such a crazy big game company with such a crazy big game, wouldn't you want to isolate yourself from KNOWN games like..
Alone In The Dark
Unreal Tournament III
Madden 2009
Left 4 Dead
Silent Hill: Homecoming
Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Dead Space
Fable 2
Ghostbusters
Fallout III
Resident Evil 5
Gears of War 2
Lord Of The Rings: Conquest

....and that's just the small list of games I personally have on my radar. Add on the full list (with other system) AND unknown titles we'll hear about at E3 and yes, Rockstar..wait. Just release the month it'll happen to the press, and word of mouth will continue to snowball a bigger mythos about what could be coming and doubly insure you some insane duckets.
Let's make January Rockstar month!

(It's only 7 months from now.)

I think what is most likely to happen, is that they put stickers with the words "EXCLUSIVE CONTENT, ONLY ON XBOX 360!" onto the games box. Inside will be a code so that you can download the DLC. Normally games go down in price after awhile anyway, so the added DLC would be a good excuse to keep the price at 60 dollars for an extended period.

I think this DLC will do well, though I think the market for DLC is probably pretty slim right now when compared to the market for the actual game. They shouldn't have any problem making back their 50 million though.

I can only imagine it will be bad. The Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion was $30. No reason why this wouldn't be as much, or more.

Although this decision sucks it comes as no suprise to me. In business terms it makes complete sense. Why would you release both of your highest grossing products in the same fiscal year? That's right, you wouldn't. Save one of the two cash cows for next year's books and keep the shareholders happy.

cal, barley english? Im sorry for my poor grammer, but feel free to judge based upon it. In my office a few of us all have the 360 version and not received ONE problem. Ive logged over 75hrs of playing time and 96 percent done the game and it has not frozen once. Also maybe next time you post a comment, why not give examples of how the game is "broken" instead of sounding like a trolling little child who hates xbox. granted you did post a link to a forum, but really, 11 million copies sold most of those Xbox copies, again the game isnt broken, its probably the systems.

After several days of GTA 4 and completing it, it becomes pointless and boring. I absolutely loved the story mode but not much to do after. At least give us something to do with the money other than spend it on RPG ammunition.
