Sony bundling Warhawk expansions as single DLC
We all enjoy value and convenience, and a new report suggests that Sony will offer both sometime down the line by bundling the earlier released Warhawk expansions, Omega Dawn and Operation Broken Mirror, together as a single download over PSN.
A release date for the descriptively titled Warhawk Combo Pack has not been announced. However, while we're left guessing what price the twofer will carry in North America, CVG reports that players in Europe can expect to pay just £4.99 for the bundle, a paltry sum considering each alone sold for £3.99 originally. We expect North American pricing to be announced soon, giving those players who have held off reason to dive in whenever the combo eventually comes in for a landing.

that doesn't mean that the game is any good
Erwos @ Jun 5th 2008 1:10PM
I really like the game, actually. Lots of variety, good difficulty/learning curve, pretty graphics, and reasonable controls. The expansions really amped it up, too - the APC, in particular, really changes the game. I'm looking forward to the third expansion!

I hope thats a real opinion and not just a sony rep commenting.
Vidikron (FU) @ Jun 5th 2008 1:13PM
Doesn't mean it isn't either.
Erwos @ Jun 5th 2008 1:14PM
No, I just own the game and like it. I have no affiliation with Sony. And, IMHO, the 360 is a much, much better gaming machine overall.
SUPER DESU @ Jun 5th 2008 1:27PM
I don't care if its good, I only care if its fun, and I consider sticking mines onto jeeps and suicide bombing tanks very, very fun indeed.

I can honestly say that some of the funnest times I've ever had playing a video game were playing Warhawk when it was first released. I played it non-stop for about 2 months and then moved on. I tried to play it again a month ago and I was getting my ass handed to me left and right.
But overall, a fun game.

Jagzi is retarded...Im just making this comment to save my password.
deaftly @ Jun 5th 2008 1:04PM
Moar like Borehawk
Jagzi11a @ Jun 5th 2008 1:08PM
Nice, I like it.
&rew @ Jun 5th 2008 1:11PM
I was going to say Snorehawk, or Whorehawk, but that is so much better.
Vidikron (FU) @ Jun 5th 2008 1:14PM
Warhawk is awesome. A great battlefied type MP game. I generally stick with the 32 player matches so there's plenty of action.
Oi Chez! What do you want Fizz? @ Jun 5th 2008 1:53PM
Quite true, actually.
Noshino @ Jun 5th 2008 3:25PM
well, deaftly, you are right, it is always boring when you suck at a game...
Kodros @ Jun 5th 2008 3:29PM
Warhawk easily has more intense and chaotic moments then any FPS (or in this case TFS). Also, there's no other game that does a better job at incorporating aircraft into a battlefield type game.
Sora267 @ Jun 5th 2008 1:16PM
This is what Activision should do with GH:Aerosmith.
SonicRift @ Jun 5th 2008 1:35PM
Yes. But is the GH3 guitar's tilt function good enough to pilot a plane?
Oh... OHHH... Right... I getcha...
umm....hello??? @ Jun 5th 2008 1:47PM
I have the game but haven't bought the expansions yet...I might do so sometime soon if the price is right...I like the game, but I disabled the tilt controls for better control.
Robobagins @ Jun 5th 2008 2:20PM
Well the tilt controls need major tweaking to work decently. But if one could someone pull that off, and do it well, they'd be a master of the skies.
Jagzi11a @ Jun 5th 2008 2:26PM
they have yet to effectively use the sixaxis. its a good thing hey are phasing that out.
Hyams @ Jun 5th 2008 2:36PM
Jagzi, I'm impressed. You managed to prove yourself an idiot not once, not twice, but THREE times in quick succession.
Congratulations, you win the internets.
(DS3 has the sixaxis tilt function in it too. It's not being phased out.)
Noshino @ Jun 5th 2008 4:51PM
actually, the tilt controls...they are insane, there is a huge advantage with tilt controls over the regular one....although at the beginning is going to be a pain, after a while you get use to them
Cenobia @ Jun 5th 2008 2:37PM
Wait, they already have them bundled together in North America. You can get both for like $12. I think this news only applies to Europe because I know you can already buy both together for less.
blakepro @ Jun 5th 2008 3:06PM
Exactly! THIS BUNDLE HAS BEEN OUT IN NORTH AMERICA FOR QUITE SOME TIME ALREADY!
I know because I purchased it like a month ago. Its a good deal. Go look at the PSN if you dont believe me!
Hyams @ Jun 5th 2008 2:39PM
Warhawk is such an awesome. I'm not an online person, but I've played Warhawk for I-don't-even-want-to-know-how-many-hours. In my opinion, it's the best game on the PS3 thus far. At the very least, it's gotten the most ammount of playtime out of me.
If you have a PS3 but don't yet have Warhawk, then buy it and take advantage of this deal. The two expansion packs add even more depth and gameplay to already awesome game.
Hiroken @ Jun 5th 2008 2:40PM
I think Wawrhawk is one of the finest Battlefield games out there.
This is good news for our European friends. Pick these up, if you haven't already.
