Tecmo stock down on loss of Itagaki

It looks like the departure of Tomonobu Itagaki from Tecmo is doing more than upsetting fans of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. It seems as though Itagaki's exit has worried Tecmo stockholders on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as well. According to GameSpot, shares in the company fell sharply on Wednesday upon the news. Upon closing on Tuesday, Tecmo's shares stood at ¥1,102 ($10.40). Shares fell to ¥985 ($9.30) upon opening Wednesday. The stock rose and fell throughout the day today, closing at ¥982 ($9.27). Ouch.

It will be interesting to see if this trend continues without Itagaki at the helm of Team Ninja.

am I the only one who thinks he's a bit weird and looks like he's constantly on drugs???

he is usually drunk, or at least buzzed; a big part of the reason the sunglasses never come off I'd guess.

I know, right! Why can't people just stay normal and sober all the time? It would make me feel so much safer and more comfortable. Just look at that guy. He's totally different looking! Wussupwitthat!?!

Personally, I admire the man, for many reasons, but mostly for giving political correctness the bird of paradise and speaking his mind.

They went down one dollar a share? Uh oh, better make that next Venti a Grande.

A drop of a dollar for a share translates to millions of dollars lost for Techmo's stock funds... this is a lot of money to lose and doesn't give much of a postive attitude to boardmembers when they question Tecmo's President as to what the hell is going on.
