Moving on, we think we speak for the whole internet when we say "OMG WE TOTALLY JUST SAW DUKE NUKEM FOREVER." More shocking? The 30 seconds or so we see in the video (it starts at about 4:15) actually looks pretty decent, even though we'll be the first to admit that watching a game via shaky cam over a bald dude's shoulder isn't the most optimal way to judge this sort of thing. So, it's been 26 years in development, what do you guys think of it?
You can actually watch Duke Nukem Forever on Jace Hall Show

So, let's just get this out of the way: We sort of dig former Monolith boss Jace Hall's new show. Well, more specifically, we dig Jace Hall, but we could do without some of the trappings of overproduction that surround him. But Jace? He's aces. See for yourself right after the break.

The hud looks like it's the Source engine. I doubt it'll be as pretty as Crysis but after so many years they may have some great FPS ideas. (I hope)

Holy shit!!! That looks amazing!!!
I don't know what's more surprising. The fact that this game is actually being worked on, or I'm not be sarcastic.

DNF has gone from "delayed so long, that nothing they did would be good enough" to "delayed so long anything at this point looks amazing" :p

Does it matter if it comes out or not? the joke will still live...seriously, the thing has taken over 10 years...it will be a legend, a story passed from generation to generation....

Too Human and Duke Nukem Forever supposed to be vaporware, the killer apps for the Phantom but now that they are here is time to let the joke die.I don't if it would be worthy to tell our children about a delay of 10 years of a videogame Noshino.
Well it was fun for a while.
Now the question is it going to be 10 year wait worthy? I say let's just treat like any game released in the past 3 years.

... I never thought I'd say this, but this show actually looks interesting.
And the game reminded me of Doom III / Quake IV for some reason.

All of the 'it's been in development longer than time itself' jokes aside - and I'm sorry to break anyone's rose-tinted glasses - but that looked... bland. I know, I know, a few seconds of shaky-cam footage is nothing to go on, and I feel that 3D Realms are pandering to the joke by revealing it this way, but for a series that has so many fans (myself included), I can't help but feel that this was very disappointing.
Honestly? I'm expecting Daketana-esque reviews.

Looks like a better Prey to me is all.
Why are all these FPS's in tunnels? Put them in open, big environments. The best levels of any FPS, in my opinion, are the large open ones where I can get from one side of the map to the other my way. I can't stand going down a tunnel. Ugh, got sick of Doom3 so quick because of that.

Ehh, i wouldn't put too much stock in it
They've made many "working" builds of DNF in its decade of development, each one with a different engine and different levels of console assets, from something that was high-end N64 to something that's mid-range 360

Did Not Finish.
...Conspiracy...
Looked alright for an early build, why this is considered an early build after 12 eyars, idk, but it looks good.

Well, hard to judge from so little footage, but it's nice to actually see something. I think after another engine change or two the game should be lookin' pretty good.
In any case, that show was actually pretty funny, I thought.

I'm sure i've seen that game before... it looked like every other FPS ever released.
Still, if it has all the interaction that the old duke had then that might be enough to make it stand out from the crowd. maybe.

It really does look just like Prey with better 3D models... and if that is any indication, the entire game will be 2D in the sense that it will be so linear walking down tunnels that you might as well be playing in 2D. Maybe the tunnel will go in a never ending circle... hence the name "Forever".
Sadly enough, I'd probably still play it.

Yup, I'll probably buy the game just to be able to wonder in amazement that I'm actually playing Duke Nukem Forever and actually enjoy it. Assuming of course they don't take another 26 years to make sure it's done.
