Why not just have the team that makes soul calibur make a great star wars fighting game instead of adding characters that don't fit in to soul calibur's world to soul calibur.

No, I totally agree. Remake Teras Kasi and add a ton more character with many more exotic styles and weapons. I think it's a great idea...admittedly I was probably the only person on the planet that didn't hate MoTK.
On a side note, I have fond memories of infinite lightsaber battles on hard...I tried to make them last forever without getting hit, or actually landing a hit. Fun times.
