I was thinking how much I liked the way they used the music throughout the trailer, and then the end happened... Freaky. I really hope they localize this game.

I can't quite place it, but there's a tune in one of the original NES Dragon Quest games that sounds similar to the music in this game. I like how they seem to have twisted it around to make it sound sinister and spooky.

That voice at the end humming the tune creeped the hell out of me!

REALLY hoping for a worldwide release of this one!

wow. Somehow, the fact that I couldn't understand the Japanese subtitles made it even freakier.

It is funny how seemingly silly, fun, or happy tunes can turn really creepy when played over a creepy scene.

This reminds me of the the .hack series in some ways. It would be cool if Nanashi had an accompanying OVA.

Probably a bit of a random observation but I noticed this is one of the very few DS games adverts that don't show the game being played on a white DS. A polar white would be a bit of an atmosphere breaker here.

I don't see how the 8-bit game was involved at all in the 3D game for horror, except at the arcade.

By the way, the game and music reminds me of Dragon Warrior. :)

I just don't get this. They needed an 8 bit RPG to allow the 3D horror portion to work? Like 3D horror hasn't been done on DS before? What about Dementium?

It will be different, that's for sure.

Very keen for this :)

To answer Deozaan, I read in anothe post on this gane here on DSFanboy that (for example) your real-world (ie 3d) charachter will see a flower bed, at the same time as he passes on in the game (8-bit). I'd guess that if you could read the Japanese in the trailer you'd see similar bleed-through (game starts affecting real world, etc)
