The Research Triangle Park is a fertile place for game development. Red Storm has been here for over a decade, and there's also the Epic and Ubisoft studios.

Correct. Also, with UNC, NCSU, and Duke all right there, it's easy to get cheap, but qualified employees/interns straight out of college.

cooly. i love Insomniac, from interviews and podcast and stuff, they just seem like great people. they're not into putting anyone else down or stepping on anyones toes and even give praise to rival products (they interviewed the Halo 3 devs one time). its great to see that in this cut throat industry.

plus the fact that they make GREAT games doesnt hurt either.
