I'm a die hard Ranger fan, but they should've did what Madden did with Favre since he announced his retirement. They should've put Dominick Hasek on the cover, not only did he just win the cup, but he just announced his retirement as well. If not... It should've been Jagr who might also announce his retirement before next season as well.

Who they need to put on there is Dan Cleary. He pasted Phaneuf last year, and Phaneuf was in la la land for awhile

Anyone from the winning team deserves to be on the cover. I cannot recall any team winning the cup and then getting one of their players on the cover of an EA nhl game. There has never been a red wing on the cover of an NHL game (except 2k, and nhlpa 94 which shared stevens and yzerman) and they've won 4 cups in 11 years. Did anyone from EA not get that memo? Zetterberg, Con Smyth no cover! Ovechkin 60+ goals, no cover! Osgood, 1.55 GAA, NO COVER! But Dion Pheaneuf, 182 Penalty Minutes and eliminated first round of the playoffs, cover. WTF? So what if its about checking and defense, what about Kronwall and his slew of hits through the playoffs or any other outstanding defensemen from Detroit(Lidstrom, Rafalaski, Stuart, Chelios)

I love the Flames so much. Dion is probably my favorite player on the team, too.
