As soon as I saw "Flavor of Life", I know I HAVE to get this game... Hana Yori Dango was one of the best Dramas I have EVER seen as it blows American soap operas out of the water.

In any case... Is the downloadable content free?

Southern All Stars kicks ass, I really hope they have more of their tracks later, like Rock and Roll Superman.

The Kaela Kimura song is "Real Life - Real Heart" (Rirura Rirura) and it is amazing. XD That, "Kabukichou no Joou - Queen of Kabuki-town" and "Flavor of Life" make me want this game so so much. I'm waiting to order until I find out if tracks can be downloaded without a Wii.

The Porno Graffity, EXILE, Ayumi Hamasaki, Mika Nakashima, L'arc~en~Ciel and Mr. Children songs are lovely as well.

Though I kinda wish they'd chosen "Step You" rather than "MARIONETTE."

I wonder where the Gackt and Miyavi love is? Or UVERworld and Zwei?

I see 2 songs from Ouendan 2:

Kaela Kimura - Real Life, Real Heart & Mihimaru GT - Kibun Jojo.

But I'm not a big fan of either song.

The songs that really stand out for me are:

(1) Remioromen - Konayuki, this is the excellent insert song for the J-Drama "Ichi Liter no Namida" (my favorite J-Drama of all time).

(2) Ayaka - Mikazuki, the fantastic song from the sublimely talented Ayaka. Beautiful ...

(3) Mika Nakashima - Yuki no Hana, the best song Mika Nakashima has ever sung IMO.

(4) Hikaru Utada - The Flavor of Life, another soulful, beautiful song by Utada. Not my favorite Utada song, but I'm an Utada fan. I own all her albums from First Love to Ultra Blue (and yes I have the U.S. album Exodus).

My avatar features a panda wrapped in a red fabric, mimicking Utada on the cover of her Ultra Blue album.

I'm sure there are many great songs in the track list(s), but I haven't kept up with J-Pop lately. :(

Peace.

I forgot to mention Kumi Koda's remake of Cutie Honey.

Hard to believe I could forget about Kumi Koda, LOL. :)

Peace.

The classical list is sure making me very happy. I can play some of them on the piano so I'm really looking forward to the remix version.

How does the download work? Does it use the Nintendo WFC? Can we access it outside Japan?

You download the tracks via Wi-Fi, so there's no telling if importers will be able to download the songs, too. My guess is no, but nothing's certain yet.

If you like classical music, the game might be worth importing anyway because of the songs listed. If you're banking on the DLC, though, it'd be best to wait and hear impressions from other importers.

I have Japanese DS games I play online here in the States, there's no problem with accessing it.

Would that be the whole entire soundtrack? Or would this be the initial playlist? When I ran it through Google Translator (even though it might not be that great), it said " More than 30 songs and songs, Nintendo Wi-Fi connections to connect the NATSUKASHI the latest hit song from the hit song, the animated song, classics, drama theme songs, and more than 200 songs in the rich lineup From 100 to download the songs they can play. "
So I'm not completely sure whether that is the final playlist (at least the one that is included in the DS).
Also, the fact that there was 38 songs in the original one makes it somewhat unlikely that they would only put 30 included. I think >_>

Yep, there are 200 songs so this list is incomplete.

Even if importers are allowed to download the content, though, space issues only 100 downloads, as you can't delete a song once it's downloaded.

OH ya, not to mention that they had a whole bunch more 0.o

That would be very painful to translate.... ?_?

But they really do have a crap load of songs for download...
