is it just me or did anyone else find the demo really boring?

bad timing. They should have dropped it last week so that people chomping at the bit waiting for metal gear to come out would spent a little coin to pick up a distraction in the meantime. I'm afraid coming out on thursday some potential buyers of the game that are getting metal gear instead that day, might forget about it entirely in the long run.

I don't think that this game worth $30 after playing the Demo. I'll be waiting for the real deal a.k.a Wipe Out

I don't think it's too bad and to be honest i believe it will do pretty well. It's far easier than Wipeout (Impressions based on demo and playing the Wipeout PSP iterations.) and seems to have so much more content than Wipeout HD. They're similar, but so are the countless dual stick shooters on the PSN.

Competition is a good thing guys, don't be so hostile towards it just because it's going up against a PS3 exclusive.

"Gameplay tweaks" isnt quite right. Based on the Japanese demo, they took the 360 version and actually made it "fun."
I had a great time with the demo, and will probably be picking up the full game as I wait for Wipeout HD to drop.

Yeah I downloaded it off the Japanese store just to give it a try on the off chance and its so much better than the Xbox version.
Its a shame it is coming out when everyone will be playing MGS4. I don't know whether to get this and Wipeout HD which coming out god knows when or just wait and get Wipeout.

I enjoyed the demo a bit but got bored quicker than I would have liked. The issue I have is the tracks feel like maps, it's hard to explain but it's almost like they've allowed too much open-ness and it's resulted in no memorable obsticles and huge empty areas.

I'd pay $7-8 for it. I really enjoyed the Velocity game type. Seriously though, $30? That's equal to half of a new PS3 game or $10 less then a old one. Does not compute!

Yeah ^ $30 is way too much for it. The demo was okay but for like $10 or less I would have bought just to play every now and then and to play multiplayer but yeah it isn't worth the price.

I wanted a fun racer when this was first announced. It looked really nice graphically but with games like these it is so hard to get right.

It went to the 360 and I was happy. (Gamerscore)

Then I played the demo and I was sad. (Suckedarse)

It was originally intended as a PS3 title, I have yet to try the demo. (Hopeful)

The 360 version felt like an on-rails circa early 90's "interactive-multimedia" title. Much like Novastorm. (Kudos to anyone who remembers that old PCGamer demo!)

They did redo the graphics, and 50 tracks is not a bad deal, if its a nice pick me up and play with ease sort of game. I do agree that $30 is a tad brutal, when a $20 price seems a bit more what it should cost. Sell more, make more.. Pixeljunk should be followed in this regard.

On a more pressing note::::::
What IS the deal with wipeout hd?
I have been waiting for some news on this game for a while now. I half expected to be playing it right about now, but a release date seems to not even be set yet. To me, and I am sure others this is the most anticipated psn release.. well.. yeah.. ever.
