No developer was mentioned, so we're only left to guess. Could it be Samara? Could it be ... Satan?! Anyway, we tip our collective hat to you, nameless developer of this super crappy online Hancock game. Much like a superhero, with this one trailer, you have saved the video game buying world from both peril and wasted money.

It's amazing how the game-buying public seems unwilling to hold license-based titles to any standard.

That's quite a specious statement to make; it's not the game-buying public, but the one's gaming coineseurs holds them to no standard. A worrying amount of the game-buying public don't hold games to standards at all, buying them on behalf of children, for example, on name-recognition alone.
Seriously, though, based on this game footage the entire thing is a series of you running into things and punching them. Looks decidedly un-fun, methinks.

GAME OF THE YEAR 2008.
Also, this game will probably sell just as much as any other movie tie in too.

But it's an online game so I seriously doubt it will go anywhere.

They'll port it to Wii, but they'll have to tone down the graphics.

Good gosh I thought you guys were all joking about the graphics!! Who allowed this thing to be released!! If this sells for $60 I would laugh so hard!!

I think this is AN ONLINE GAME... meaning playable on a website... look at the title of the trailer... it says "Play the game based on the movie ONLINE"...
If that is the case the graphics are not that bad for web based 3D.

Yeah, this revelation kinda deadens Joystiq's beat down of an article.

Confirmed. With a little journalistic leg-work, we find:
http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/hancock/site/games/gameshell.html
Which lists "Fight & Flight" as one of the online games "coming soon." Two other games are already available.

I like how they chose a song titled "Move Bitch" for such a game.
The movie looks somewhat worse than the game. Which is saying something.

That song is used on my frequent radio station when they're going over traffic. Now I will never be able to hear traffic stuff again without thinking of this, this... this abomination.

If it was a retail game it would be utter crap. It would seriously be No. 2 on my "most pathetic thing a developer has done" list. Right behind that game that ripped enviroments straight from Obilivion.
But its a free, browser based game. Created just to create a little more buzz for a movie. In that light, this game looks pretty good.

I never even paid any attention to the gameplay. I was fixated on the image of Will Smith whistling throughout the trailer. That was way more amusing than whatever gameplay that was.
